This is a part time role of 21 hours per week including alternate weekends.

The pay is £12.71 per hour .

The role of the Domestic Assistant is to work as part of our dedicated team to maintain an excellent standard of cleanliness and hygiene for residents and to ensure that it is a safe and comfortable environment at all times.

We have a great working environment with proper tools for the job. We pride ourselves in delivering a high standard of care and it is therefore essential that you have empathy for elderly people.

Your line manager will be the Domestic Supervisor who has worked at Paxton hall for many years.

About The Role:

• To clean all assigned rooms, paying close attention to all surfaces, floors and en-suite bathrooms
• Maintain and replenish all cleaning products
• Ensure that all equipment is clean, well maintained and stored properly
• Adhere to Health and Safety procedures, ensuring that all company operational standards are met in line with quality, cleanliness, infection control, health and safety and business needs
• Ensure that all public areas and staff facilities meet company standards at all times
• Ensure that all maintenance issues are reported immediately and followed up as required
• Carrying out all laundering duties.
• Understanding wash guide instructions, laundering requirements of a wide range of textiles and the properties of cleaning materials to ensure that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Practicing safe systems of work across various tasks, particularly moving and handling loads, by assessing risk and considering personal safety and the safety of residents, visitors, and staff.
• Contributing fully to teamwork, responding positively to colleagues, and promptly acting on all reasonable work instructions.

Paxton Hall Care Home is housed in an impressive Grade II listed building of high architectural value with impressive grounds and mature trees. We have an excellent reputation in the area for our standard of care. Our last CQC inspection report was rated Good in all six domains.

Please note that all employees at our care home need to have a valid DBS Certificate which we pay for.
