Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Manager
to oversee the daily operations of our residential care home. Our Home
is registered for 32 Service Users. The ideal candidate will possess a
strong background in senior care, including experience in managing a
care home that specialises in dementia. This role requires exceptional
leadership skills, as you will be responsible for managing staff,
developing care plans, and ensuring the highest standards of care for
residents, including those with dementia and Alzheimer's.
Duties
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of the residential facility, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to meet the needs of each resident.
- Provide leadership and support to staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional development.
- Oversee medication administration processes to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Facilitate training sessions for staff on best practices in senior care, dementia care, and medication management.
- Maintain open communication with residents' families regarding their loved ones' well-being and care progress.
Requirements
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is essential.
- Background in care or a related field is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in senior care, particularly with dementia.
- Strong management skills with previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent leadership abilities to inspire and motivate a team of caregivers.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and care plan development is crucial.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.

About You:
- Ideally, you have at least 2 years’ experience as a Care Home Manager, but we welcome applications from ambitious Deputy Managers or Care Team Leaders ready to step up
- Experience working with elderly residents, particularly those living with dementia
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (preferred, or working towards)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Commitment to delivering person-centred care and maintaining high standards
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care
- Lead, motivate, and develop your team
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and company policies
- A good understanding of budget management
Occupancy management skills and marketing knowledge
Proven
track record of hitting targets and KPIs
