Job summary
We are looking for a Deputy Home Manager who will support the manager to ensure the smooth running of the service, complying with relevant regulations and procedures. The hours are 40 hours a week.
- Work on the floor and 18-24 hours supernumeracy a week
- Share of on-call responsibilities as part of the Deputy Manager role
- Work closely with the Registered Manager and other members of the home to ensure continuity of information, standards and policies are effectively implemented.
- Communicating clearly and effectively with the staff team, families and other professionals to ensure that the residents receive the best possible provision of care
- Ensuring that all staff receive regular supervision and adhere to the policies and procedures.
- Monitoring residents' individual care plans to ensure that the key workers have identified the physical, social and emotional needs of a person
- Assessing new residents to come into the home, which could be any day of the week
- To work at least one shift every other weekend.
- Engaging with the homes face book page and putting activities which have happened on this.
Applicant Criteria:
- Minimum 2 years as a Deputy Manager is essential
- NVQ Level 3/Diploma in Adult Workforce Level 3, preferably Level 5
- Excellent communication skills
- Good planning skills
- Commitment to own professional and personal development
