Job summary

We are looking for a reliable, friendly and caring Minibus Driver to join our wonderful team.  As our driver, you’ll play a key part in supporting residents to enjoy safe, comfortable and enjoyable journeys, whether that’s for scheduled appointments, shopping trips, or social outings.  In addition, you will be supporting the maintenance team,

What will you be doing:

Minibus Driving

  • Safely operate the care home’s minibus for resident outings, appointments and activities.
  • Assist residents getting on and off the vehicle, ensuring comfort, dignity and safety.
  • Work closely with the care and activities teams to coordinate schedules.
  • Provide friendly conversation and reassurance during journeys.
  • Carry out daily safety and cleanliness checks on the vehicle.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and roadworthy minibus.

Maintenance Support

  • Assist the maintenance team with routine tasks around the home (e.g., basic repairs, painting, moving furniture, outdoor upkeep).
  • Help ensure the care home environment remains safe, clean and well-presented.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly and support in resolving them.
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

What you need to succeed:

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • A confident driver with a clean, valid UK driving licence (D1 category preferred).
  • Practical, hands?on and willing to support basic maintenance tasks.
  • Patient, empathetic and approachable with a caring nature.
  • Reliable, organised and responsible.
  • Comfortable working with older adults, including those with mobility needs.

Experience in maintenance or a similar role is beneficial but not essential, training will be provided.
