Lammermuir House Care Home sits in a stunning location in Dunbar, overlooking the Firth of Forth.

This 48-bed nursing home for older people has quickly established itself as a valued service within the local community. With strong occupancy, a loyal workforce, minimal agency use, and a newly appointed Clinical Lead, the home has solid foundations and genuine momentum.

Now we are looking for a Registered Home Manager who can take the service forward, building on its strengths while continuing to embed quality, culture and clinical leadership.

This is an opportunity for a leader who enjoys developing teams, strengthening standards and shaping a positive care culture.

Your Contract

  • Salary up to £65,000
  • Annual performance bonus up to 40%

The Opportunity

As Registered Home Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for the service.

Working alongside an experienced Regional Director and wider quality team, your role will be to ensure Lammermuir House continues to thrive both clinically and operationally.

Your focus will include -

  • Leading and developing a stable and committed staff team
  • Embedding the Alor quality framework and policies
  • Continuing to strengthen care planning and governance processes
  • Maintaining strong relationships with residents, families and local professionals
  • Supporting the home’s excellent occupancy and commercial performance
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement and person-centred care

The home already has a strong reputation locally and a positive relationship with the HSCP and local partners, giving you a great platform to build upon

The Leader We’re Looking For

We are looking for a visible and supportive leader who understands that great care homes are built through strong teams and consistent leadership.

You lead from the floor, not from behind a desk.

You know how to support staff to succeed, raise standards, and create an environment where both residents and colleagues feel valued.

You are -

  • NMC registration (RGN / RMN)
  • Experience operating at Home Manager level within a care home setting.
  • A strong understanding of Care Inspectorate standards and compliance
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care

  • Occupancy: Full, with 15 self-funders (Ahead of target)
