Mini-Bus Driver - Tuesday and Wednesdays

Would you like to work 2 days a week, early mornings and evenings with most of the day free?!

Pax Hill care Home are looking for a mini-bus driver to work on a part-time basis, ideally to start in March. This will be every Tuesday and Wednesday, with extra hours on an ad-hoc basis to cover occasional sickness and holiday (there are 3 drivers in total).

We operate a mini-bus service for our staff 7 days a week, collecting from Aldershot town centre and bringing them to our care home in Bentley, Farnham. The hours are 7 ½ hours, staggered throughout the day due to the different shift patterns of the staff, and working hours will be as follows:-

· 5.45am – 9am

· 4.45pm - 9pm

This means that you have the middle part of the day free, which could suit someone with other commitments during the day.

In addition to this there will be regular resident trips in the afternoon throughout the Summer (these are generally between 1.30-4pm and take place 2 to 3 times a month). This involves preparing the bus by removing seats so that wheel chairs can be loaded, and then replacing the seating after the trip ready for the staff runs. This requires someone with a reasonable level of physical fitness, although help will be on hand.

You will need to be a confident and capable driver and have a calm and pleasant manner and excellent customer service, as well as a full, clean driving license (with D1). Our staff have often had a hard day when they get on the bus at the end of their shift and we aim to make their journey home as pleasant as possible.

Please note successful candidates will need to undertake an enhanced DBS.
