About the Role
As a Senior Carer, you will play a key role in supporting residents with their daily needs while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. You will provide compassionate care to older people, including those living with dementia, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and valued.
No two days are the same. You will support residents with personal care, encourage social engagement, and help create a warm, homely environment.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Passionate and dedicated to providing care with a commitment to resident empowerment, this encompasses respecting residents' dignity, assisting with daily living activities, supporting mobility, and offering emotional support.
- Effectively communicate with residents, families, and the care team, while collaborating to create a positive environment.
- Following care plans, contributing to individualized care, keeping accurate records, and utilizing IT systems all contribute to resident well-being.
- Administering and recording medication and completing care plans.
- Ability to supervise a team, able to carry out risk assessments.
- Good understanding of policies, procedures and care plans, whilst ensuring the home adheres to the requirements and procedures at all times.
- Ensure the safety and security of residents and staff.
- Must be an organised individual with a strong attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills with critical thinking and sound decision-making skills. Must be a reliable and flexible individual with strong work ethics.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Promoting dignity, respect, and independence for all residents.
About You

- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential.

- The right to work in the UK.
Qualifications
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- A Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care or equivalent is desired, comprehensive training and support is provided.
- Basic IT skills to support electronic care documentation.
- Qualified and experienced Carer with a minimum of 2+ years in a care setting and as a 'Senior Care Assistant'.
