My mum has been in Alpine Care home for a year now and is well taken care of. The staff there are magnificent with my mum, they show so much care and support to her and all the residents that live there. You can really see the love they all have to care so kindly. Each visit is a pleasure with no stress, it's such a wonderful, relaxed environment to live in. Mums always clean and dressed nicely. Cups of tea whenever you want one, all the staff are excellent and are very well run to the most highest standards. It's so nice to think and know that mums taken care of in so many ways. Thank you to all at Alpine Care Home. Always activities going on to do for them.

My husband and I are absolutely delighted with the care that has been given to my mother-in-law. The staff are always smiling, caring and enthusiastic. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Despite taking time to settle, Alpine have gone above and beyond to ensure Mum is safe and looked after, even on her trickier days. The home itself is clean and has a very homely feel. The staff work hard to keep residents busy, this includes crafts, cooking, art, music etc and taking residents out for day trips. The food is excellent and kitchen meets standards. Mum now describes the residents as her friends and extra family. What more could we ask for! The home is managed excellently and I would highly recommend.

The home is clean and welcoming with a good atmosphere. The food menu looked good and as far as a care home can be, is a decent good environment for residents away from their familiar home

They have staff who organise activities and genuinely seem to care fur the residents

5 STAR REVIEW: Where do I start! Alpine Care home has made my mother in law feel so at home, it's the hardest thing to do to chose somewhere for the queen of our family who has always cared for everybody else & completely selfless. To find somewhere where the staff are not only caring but compassionate & understanding we can not thank them enough for everything they have done & continue to do every day!

We can't thank them enough from the bottom of our hearts for making us feel our mum is safe, secure, loved & well looked after!

Mum was unsettled at first but with time and the care, compassion and support of the staff she is now happy content. She is now joining in with the activities and is in relatively good health.
The activities are many and varied which is engaging for all the residents. The building itself is clean and the rooms are of a good standard. The food is good and the residents have a choice depending on preference.

Overall I am really happy with the care my mum receives.

We are so pleased that we chose Alpine Care Home for my mum. It really feels like a home from home. We had to choose a home for my mum, who has quite advanced Dementia and Alzheimer's, during Covid so we couldn't visit in person any home. All we could do was a video call viewing. We chose Alpine because it's small (30ish residents) compared to other local homes in the area. All the staff at Alpine are fabulous, from the manager down. There are some excellent day staff who really do invest time and care with the residents. There is a quite fabulous activities co-ordinator, who has recently joined the team and she's making such a difference with keeping everyone engaged with activities. Cooking, craft, quizzes, themed events, visiting barbers, musicians, and ponies! And much more. Food is excellent, care is excellent, cleanliness is excellent. It really is a great care home. Any issues and I get a phone call explaining what's wrong and how they are putting it right. We trust Alpine.

I have been in Health and Social Care since 1986, 39 years now. I started my journey working in a hospital environment for people who had physical and severe mental health disabilities. I then moved into a small home in the community, still working with adults who had these difficulties. I stayed in this field until 2000, that's when I found my passion for working with people living with Alzheimer's and other Dementias. I have worked managing very successful care homes since. I have furthered my knowledge and skills by completing my Registered Managers Award, NVQ Level 4 and my Diploma 5 in Health and Social Care. My passion is making a difference in the lives of people we care for and their families.

With over 20 years of experience across care, education, and the activity provision sector, and as a multi-award-winning professional, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with people living with their own unique needs and challenges, which has opened up a whole new world for me, one that is deeply interesting, endlessly inspiring, and incredibly rewarding. This role continues to teach me so much, and I feel truly honoured to support and connect with individuals at such a meaningful stage of life.

I have a deep passion for creating nutritious, delicious meals, and I bring a wealth of experience and a personal touch to every dish I prepare. I do my best to ensure that every meal is not only healthy but also enjoyable and tailored to the individual preferences and dietary needs of our residents. I believe that food is not just fuel; it’s an experience that should nourish both the body and the soul. In my role, I take great pride in preparing meals that bring comfort, joy, and a sense of home to our residents. Its important to listen and learn about residents' favourite foods and their preferences, offering a choice. Every dish is made with care, whether it's a favourite comfort food or something new to excite their taste buds. I am told by our team that sometimes the meals I spark conversations and fond memories of cooking or eating with their families. It’s actually heart-warming to hear how through cooking meals that the residents enjoy, I can contribute to making a difference and help with well being and memory.
