The thing that stands out the most for me is the staff, they go out of their way to make the residents feel safe and try to make them as comfortable as possible, the food is very good too, and there's lots of activities to do

Their appearance does not show the home in a good way to anyone looking to find a bright environment for a family member. Please, please address this issue for both your residents & staff.

I have found the staff here were excellent in the care and support of residents. They are friendly and go out of there way to help and support you and residents. The food is sublime and the staff offer you tea and drinks when ever I have visited normally every day. I cannot thank all staff enough for what they do, and I recommend anyone to stay if the need is required. Thank you so much to all staff. Thank you.

Very good. I am very happy my father is in good hands. I found the staff extremely kind and caring. I feel they have gone above and beyond to help my father who is a very difficult person to be dealing with, and I would strongly recommend this nursing home.

Although the building is quite old the staff and management do an outstanding job in making sure all residents are looked after and cared for expertly. Nothing is too much trouble. Families of the residents know that everything is in safe hands

Cheney House welcomed my mother after a long spell in a rehab situation. She arrived depressed and disoriented but within days had come back to life again. The staff are genuinely caring and helpful and willing to go the extra. I could not recommend Cheney House highly enough

Before my mother became a resident at Ashcroft House, we were anxious to find a home that would meet her care needs, as the last home she was in was not suitable. People who we knew said that they could not recommend Ashcroft House highly enough based on their experiences. I feel that most if not all the staff are friendly and very helpful. There is a nice atmosphere even among residents most of the time. My mother's care needs appear not only to be met but also, anticipated ahead of time.

I am a frequent visitor and all the staff are very friendly and always on hand, including the manager who is always visible too and very welcoming. The staff are always working hard & caring for all the residents - my dad is well cared for :)

My Grandmother was moved from one care home, to Ashley Court in 2025. The level of care she received was exceptional. The staff created a warm and caring environment for both my grandmother, and the other residents. Every time I went to visit, the mood and atmosphere was positive and friendly. My grandmother got to take part in lots of activities, such as arts and crafts, and was taken good care of, enjoying having her nails and hair done, and eating well. The staff knew her well, and were very fond of her, and I can tell they work hard to look after their residents. They ensured that my grandmother's final months were comfortable, positive and happy. Thank you to the whole team at Ashley Court.

My father in law (FIL) has been a resident for a few months now and it feels like the right time to do a review. The facilities, staff and care is excellent and as a relative the team are helpful, friendly, accommodating and caring. This is mirrored in the care they give to my FIL, they team show they care and look after his needs brilliantly. The food, drink, activities and engagement are real standouts. We've seen the meals, snacks & drinks provided and they are varied, nutritious and 'home made'. There is always something happening to keep him engaged and give a sense of community to the residents. The team are caring, attentative and friendly and do all they can to manage his needs. I think the best compliment I can give is that I have total peace of mind with him being there and wouldn't want to see him anywhere else - Westlands and the team there are top notch, thank you and keep up the fantastic work.

Mum passed away 1st July 2023. The home could not have done any more to ensure my mum was comfortable and safe and able to pass away peacefully with her family at her side. The care and communication shown to family at this difficult time was exemplary. Mum was at Ashley Court for over 3 years and everyone there took time, care and consideration of Mums needs every step of that time, I could not have found a better home for Mum to enjoy her last years.

My brother is always treated with kindness and dignity. He is v.happy living at Blair House. Members of staff are caring. I am a frequent visitor and am always welcomed with a cup of tea and the offer of lunch. The manager is friendly. Blair House often has parties for the residents e.g. Midsummer, Halloween, Burns night. The garden is pleasant and welcoming. In my opinion Blair house is a very safe happy home.

The staff here look after my grandad very well! Whenever we come to visit him, the care home is always very clean and tidy! He's always given snacks and drinks (including homemade milkshakes) throughout the visit!
