  • Care Homes Owned by Regal Care Trading Ltd
With nearly 20 years of providing exceptional care, Regal Care Trading is now one of the market leaders here in the UK.
Staff care deeply about residents and when you visit its care homes there is a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.

Skilled carers know when to provide care and when to encourage independence. They work with loved ones to create a care plan that suits them. This means, where possible, your loved ones will retain control over their day-to-day living. Rest assured, however, that they’ll be there 24 hours a day should they be required.

It is a requirement that at least 50% of care staff are qualified to NVQ Level 2 in professional care. Training scheme ensure that Regal Care Trading exceed this requirement, and they’re aiming for 100% of carers to gain this qualification. The group are committed to achieving this, which will ensure residents continue to receive only the highest level of care available.

My dad goes to Hawthorne for a weeks respite at a time. Always happy to stay a bit longer if he could. Staff excellent, always time for help and a chat. Well looked after. Plenty of food and cups of tea. I'm happy that I know he is looked after to a high standard. I have given 5 stars because,
they do what we want as a family. He is looked after and happy.

Before being admitted to the home mother in law was very independent, not mixing. This was a worry to us thinking that she would not settle. How wrong we were. Despite not being able to hear well she is getting involved not only with the staff but other residents as well. This is all down to the professionalism
of the management, nursing staff, cleaners and cooks at the home. They have really made her comfortable in her new surroundings. Believe you me she would be the first to say if she was not happy. I attend on a regular basis and see that they show the same amount of care and patience to other residents.. So a huge thank you to Hawthorn for all that you do.

My dad is a resident at Hawthorn Lodge and is so happy there and whenever I visit him, it is obvious why! All of the staff, not only the carers, are so friendly and approachable, and they genuinely do care. There are plenty of activities for the residents to get involved in, as well as downtime for
them to enjoy too. The residents really are treated like family, it is their home and they are made to feel like it. I can't thank the staff at Hawthorn Lodge enough for everything they do for my dad, I know it can't be easy but you are so appreciated. Thank you!!

Linden Manor

from Anne Y (Wife of Resident) published on 6 October 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My husband was cared for at Linden Manor for 6 weeks and if I lived in Wellingborough I would have never moved him. My husband was a poorly man when he arrived from hospital but over the weeks with the care and attention he had from all the staff (including the kitchen and domestic staff) he became
(for him in his condition) healthy again, eating normally again and feeling content as he knew he was being cared for for properly. I often caught a staff member dealing with another resident and never once did I hear a short word spoken but words of endearment I often heard. This home has a lovely ethos which is felt as soon as you enter. Yes it's an old house but don't judge a book by its cover. Thank you all for the care you gave my husband.

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My wife having advanced mixed dementia receives good care particularly as she cannot call for aseismic. I find the full-time care assistance very capable and helpful but due to manning levels especially at weekends agency staff are not as good. Her room is good and we can customise the place to our
liking. The food is good and feeding assistance is available. It is essential nursing staff are available and again they are good at the care they offer. The external GP is not reactive as I would like. There are many activities organised with outings, events and internal activities arranged. The management listen to my concerns and react accordingly. I am very happy that my wife is in Ashcroft.

My mother was a resident at Ashley Court until her recent death. I cannot sufficiently praise the management and staff there for their care of her.
She was consistently treated with kindness and respect, despite the fact that her severe dementia must have made her challenging at times. Every effort
was made to ensure that she was made to feel at home when she moved there and I was kept informed of her progress and wellbeing. Nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble and I have always been thankful that I chose Ashley Court.

My friend has been a resident in Blair House for several years. She seems well cared for and happy. The staff seem kind and caring. My friend is always nicely dressed and neat and tidy. She is obviously eating well as I think she has put on weight.
I have put satisfactory in some respects not because
I have any reason to doubt the items are probably worthy of a higher mark but because I do not have personal experience of them.

I am particularly impressed by the staff of Cheney House. Everyone is so friendly and professional and it is obvious that the staff are fond of the residents. The food is excellent and mum is generally quite happy and I feel she is in a safe environment. There are many differing care requirements across
the residents (eg eyesight, hearing, dementia) etc which makes it difficult for the activities to suit everyone, but despite this most residents participate and enjoy the activities.
