A heartfelt thank you
I just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone at Linden Manor in Wellingborough for the care and kindness you have shown to my mum during her stay with you.
After her fall at home, which resulted in some significant injuries, we were understandably worried about her and what the next few weeks would look like. Having her at Linden Manor for respite care has given our family a great deal of reassurance.
From the moment she arrived, the staff have been so welcoming, patient, caring and compassionate. It is clear that the people who work there genuinely care about the residents, and that means an enormous amount to us as a family.
Knowing that Mum is being looked after, treated with dignity and has people around her who are keeping an eye on her has taken away a lot of the worry that comes with being unable to care for her ourselves.

A special thank you to all the staff at Linden Manor, including those working behind the scenes.

My father in law (FIL) has been a resident for a few months now and it feels like the right time to do a review. The facilities, staff and care is excellent and as a relative the team are helpful, friendly, accommodating and caring. This is mirrored in the care they give to my FIL, they team show they care and look after his needs brilliantly. The food, drink, activities and engagement are real standouts. We've seen the meals, snacks & drinks provided and they are varied, nutritious and 'home made'. There is always something happening to keep him engaged and give a sense of community to the residents. The team are caring, attentative and friendly and do all they can to manage his needs. I think the best compliment I can give is that I have total peace of mind with him being there and wouldn't want to see him anywhere else - Westlands and the team there are top notch, thank you and keep up the fantastic work.

Mum passed away 1st July 2023. The home could not have done any more to ensure my mum was comfortable and safe and able to pass away peacefully with her family at her side. The care and communication shown to family at this difficult time was exemplary. Mum was at Ashley Court for over 3 years and everyone there took time, care and consideration of Mums needs every step of that time, I could not have found a better home for Mum to enjoy her last years.

My elderly father who has dementia was welcomed with open arms when a place became available for him. The level of care he receives from every single member of staff is outstanding. The manager understood my anxieties about Dad, and the whole care home in general, and as soon as I walked in there I felt comfortable knowing he would be safe and well looked after. Communication is excellent, I love the fact that you can visit whenever you like, and the food and activities are fabulous.

I'm a very grateful daughter, thank you to you all

Staff and management at Ashley Court went above and beyond in their care of my father in law whose needs were sadly beyond what Ashley Court could safely provide (being mainly complex health care needs). This did not stop them trying to pull out all the stops to assist our family with the care of Dad. Staff were caring and supportive and the manager Jackie has been nothing more than a total rock, her experience, advice and support have been a light for us in a very dark tunnel. For the short time Dad spent at Ashley Court the care he received was excellent. If it was possible to place Dad in a non nursing home this is the care home we would choose. Thanks Jackie and team - truly x

The first time I met Nicola (Manager) and Karen (Deputy Manager) they were so kind, caring and patient. Although my Dad is 95 this was still a difficult decision to make, but they immediately put me at ease. Their attitude and approach is mirrored by the amazing team who look after him. My Dad has only been at Westlands for 2 weeks but he has settled so well and the change in him is nothing short of astounding, all thanks to the love and care he is receiving. From the staff who look after him during the day and night, to the Pink Ladies who work tirelessly to make sure residents are entertained during the day, to the staff in the kitchen making delicious home cooked meals, to the maintenance man who always takes the time to interact with the residents and to the laundry staff and cleaners who work tirelessly behind the scenes. Thank you for your hard work. Thank you for making this transition easier than I expected. Thank you all for everything.

My father-in-law was discharged from hospital to Westlands Care Home after 24 hour care was deemed the most appropriate path forward to meet his needs. Since being at the care home, he seems to have settled quickly. He is brighter in himself and his quality of life has definitely improved. The staff are all amazing. Very welcoming and keep us involved in regards to my father-in-law's care needs.

We recently moved dad to Westlands from a local nursing home. The manager, Nicola and Deputy, Karen, and their staff are positive, calm and assured and so helpful. You could see dad relaxing into his new home. The home is very tastefully decorated, the bedrooms are good, the food is homemade, and dad has enjoyed the variety of activities, and the choice of lounges and quiet areas too. There is the opportunity to enjoy the courtyard garden too - which is great.

I value the high level of care and consideration given to my Dad who has been a resident for several years. Whoever you talk to they know and respect my Dad and take time to engage with him as an individual.
Communications with the home are very good.

There is an excellent understanding of my Dad's character and wishes.

Review of Westlands Care Home from Phil H (Son of Resident) published on 25 March 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Westlands Care home is such a lovely warm and friendly place - Nicola, Chrissy and the whole team are so supportive of the residents and always focused on providing the best experience for the residents. My mother has dementia and is confused about a lot of things, but she is always crystal clear about her care - 'The food is good, the staff look after me - I have no complaints' (her words, not mine) It was a frightening task to take responsibility for putting my mum in a residential care setting, but Nicola put my mind at rest from the outset - my mum is very settled after a year at Westlands.

Westlands organise lots of activities and I love seeing what my mum had been up to on Facebook. These activities are balanced with quieter times which my mother needs for reflection and introspection. The staff have always been supportive and helpful - whether it is getting mum ready for a trip out, or organising a space for me to bring in coffee or a take-away meal. Highly recommended!

Westlands Care Home is a a happy home where everyone knows everyone else. Its friendly and care is thoughtful and professional. The food is homemade on site and is served in the dining room, which I think is important for wellbeing and self respect. They make a lovely cuppa for visitors.

The staff are polite and courteous and will bring my mother to us in the lounge, we are always offered a drink and my mother likes the way she is treated. Whenever I ask her if she needs anything she always says no as she is well fed and looked after. I have no problem with recommending Westlands and would be happy to go there myself.

Review of Ashley Court from Freya S (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 29 January 2026 Submitted via Website

My grandma has been at Ashley court for 2 months now and the change and progress we have seen has been fantastic. Everytime we turn up (which is always at random times) grandma looks clean, well-dressed and has put weight back on so quickly. She's alway smiling and comments on how lovely the food is, how kind the staff and residents are, and how she always gets a good nights sleep. My grandma has always been a very proud and independent woman so we worried how she would be when moving her to Ashley court but she has fitted in so well. A few of grandmas immediate family, including myself don't live local so being able to see what the residents are up to via the social media page makes such a difference and puts our mind at ease that grandma is happy, healthy and engaging.i would recommend Ashley court as a warm, welcoming family home that focuses on resident care and truly looks after their residents.

Jackie and staff are very friendly and look after my aunt very well. The home has lots of interesting and fun things for the residents, they bake, do arts and crafts and have sing songs. Today they are having music and cream tea which Tina is holding. Christmas they always have a party with an entertainer. Rooms are light and well maintained, clean and the residents needs are all catered for. There is a hairdresser on site and my aunt is very happy, I would recommend the home.
