Overall Experience

My friend has been a resident in Blair House for several years. She seems well cared for and happy. The staff seem kind and caring. My friend is always nicely dressed and neat and tidy. She is obviously eating well as I think she has put on weight.
I have put satisfactory in some respects not because

I have any reason to doubt the items are probably worthy of a higher mark but because I do not have personal experience of them.

Overall Experience

My brother has lived at Blair House for 9 years. He is very happy living there and often says, "I like living here".
He enjoys sitting in the garden. There is also a nice extension sitting room with access to the garden.
There are several parties for the residents during the year e.g. at Halloween,

Christmasm Burns Night and there is a summer party this year on August 15th.
The staff and manager are welcoming to me offering tea or coffee and sometimes I join them for lunch. The food is healthy and tasty. Yesterday, when I visited, one of the staff asked if I would like a photo of my brother and me. I was given 2 good photos of us.
My brother has his own room. The home is very clean. I am always informed about my brother health.
My overall experience of Blair House is excellent.

Overall Experience

I have found Blair house and it's Staff deliver a high standard of care in a friendly house sized environment.
They have dealt with any problems my Mother has professionally taking swift action when needed and kept me informed of any issues. I feel I can trust them to do the best they can for my Mum.
From

the top down the Staff work well as a team and show they care about what they are doing and who they look after while maintaining a clean and pleasant Home. Of the homes I visited while finding a place for Mum Blair house stood out as the best choice for her, I can only recommend them.

Overall Experience

Unfortunately it was decided that Dad would be cared for in a residential home as he could no longer look after himself. We were given several choices of homes by Adult Social Care and we chose Park Beck. We are very happy that we made this decision. Initially my dad was quite difficult and the staff

at Park Beck dealt with this very well. He seems happier now and he gets taken to see my mum, who is in a home elsewhere, on a regular basis. Thank you!

Overall Experience

Both my parents are having respite care for one month whilst their bungalow gets much needed work on it. The carers are always polite, patient and helpful. My parents say the food is always lovely and tasty. I visit every day without an appointment and the place is always clean. It was the best home

we viewed. Mum has a tv in her room and dad has a sensor mat for when he gets up.

Overall Experience

The staff are very friendly, always checking in and made me feel welcome from the start. My dad has told me that they take good care of him and he gets along with them and all evidence points to this being 100% true. I feel that they deserve so much more than what they get for the amazing job they do.

I am so glad my dad is there with them as I don't think he could have gone anywhere else that would produce an uplifting vibe as they do at Park Beck and to all the staff, I say thank you.

A marked improvement in activities. Interaction between staff and residents shows deep affection, warmth and person-centred attention. Overall Experience

Took my Mum for 1 week of respite to try and give my Dad of 85 years a break from caring for his wife, who have been married for 65 years.
Very upsetting to leave Mum there, and I felt like I had abandoned her, but to be honest, I couldn't find fault with Park Beck at all.
The staff that I met were

amazing, credit to the carer and the manager is a diamond, very helpful, caring, and went above and beyond to be helpful, accommodating, and to totally respect your wishes, to make your loved one feel comfortable.
A big thank you to all staff concerned in looking after my Mum on her week of respite at Park Beck, and I certainly wouldn't hesitate in taking Mum back for respite in the near future. A big thank you to everyone.

Overall Experience

My brother and I had a few awful experiences with care homes in the area. After looking for months for a decent home for Mum, ironically my brother found Park Beck right next to his work. Park Beck does exactly what it says on the tin. No pretending to be something they are not but doing exactly as

they say they will. Mum has had nothing but excellent care and kindness since she has been there. The manager obviously selects excellent staff. It’s so sad that Mum is in a home and so confused but knowing she is well cared for makes it so much easier. The place is warm and clean and the staff are lovely. Would recommend it to anyone. A wonderful care home run by people who care deeply for their residents.

Overall Experience

What an amazing place - the staff are exceptional - so friendly. The house is always clean and fresh smelling - unlike other places I have visited in the past. My friend always looks well-dressed and is happy here - I was offered a drink as soon as I arrived and was even invited for lunch. It was really

nice to see so much activity, residents were playing board games around the tables and there was plenty of laughing and joking between them. A really nice home and one I would recommend.

Overall Experience

My mum moved into Blair House Care Home back in May 2023, it was a huge relief to my sister and I. From the first day we visited, we felt the staff were very caring. Unfortunately, my mum passed away on 04/10/2023. I cannot thank the manager and staff enough. They were always friendly welcoming and

very patient. The care my mum was given was first-class right until the end, I felt she passed away with respect and dignity. A care home is only as good as the staff who work there, Blair House has impeccable staff!

Overall Experience

Always book Mum here when we go on holiday, she considers it her holiday.

Mum has early onset Alzheimer's so gets a little confused with any change in her routine, the staff here always make sure she is comfortable and feels totally home from home - she loves going here.

She says the food is amazing,

all home cooked and plenty of it - a real strong point in her view.

The home is always very clean and never have I been there and experienced 'that' smell you so often get from other care homes.

My only small criticism is some of the rooms and furniture is a little dated and could do with a bit of a spruce up.

Overall Experience

Welcoming staff who really seem to care for their residents. Lovely garden area, regular entertainment, tea, coffee offered as soon as you arrive or lunch if you are staying a little longer.

Overall Experience

A big thank you to management and all the staff, both upstairs and downstairs, not forgetting the night staff, for looking after Mum in her final years and especially her final few days with the care she was given which was outstanding. Also, for making us very welcome as part of the Blair House family,

it has been a privilege to know you all. If anybody has doubt about placing a loved one in care and are local to Hastings, Blair House is the place, it's not the building but the people inside that make it.
