Blair House

My brother is always treated with kindness and dignity. He is v.happy living at Blair House. Members of staff are caring. I am a frequent visitor and am always welcomed with a cup of tea and the offer of lunch. The manager is friendly. Blair House often has parties for the residents e.g. Midsummer, Halloween, Burns night. The garden is pleasant and welcoming. In my opinion Blair house is a very safe happy home.

I cannot fault Blair House. It seems my mums every whim is catered for from favourite foods, to activities and lots of one to one time. Staff from management to carers are always very welcoming - despite having to cater for residents, they always offer refreshments to visitors. They value feedback and are keen to be the very best, which, in my opinion, they most definitely are

Blair House has been amazing for my grandad. The staff are lovely and the whole setting has a family feel to it. They offer real person Centred Care and welcomed us as a family. We could never thank the staff enough!

Blair House Care Home provides a warm and welcoming environment where residents are treated with genuine care and respect. The staff are attentive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure comfort and wellbeing. The home is clean, well-maintained, and offers a calm, homely atmosphere. Overall, it's a reassuring place for both residents and their families.

Both Mum and Dad started living at Blair House in the summer of 2025. Both settled well and have enjoyed there time together at the house. It feels like home to them and they really love the food. My Brother and I have come to know the staff well and by name. Mum loves the trips out and the music they play in the house. Christmas was a lovely experience with carols.

My husband was cared for with great respect and dignity until he died two and a half years ago. I continue to visit at least once a week as a friend to many of the residents. I'm greeted with warmth and made to feel comfortable. The manager and staff are constantly making sure everyone's reassured and calm. Giving drinks and medication always with respect, cheerfully, and so, so hard working. I would recommend the home for someone who is looking for a warm, safe, caring environment to live.

I have been a resident at this Care Home for nearly 10 years and I belive it is probably the Best all round care facility I have been in. Apart from when I lived in retirement housing which was and still is as far as Im aware still the same as it was then although I have been informed that these flats maybe seperated into low-rise blocks of flats on the same sight.

I wanted to write a review as I am very happy with the care my mum receives at Blaire house.she has been there 3 years now and always well cared for. It was very emotional to put mum into residential care but I do feel she is in the best place she can be for her situation. She has settled in well and the staff are very kind to her. The food is really good and home cooked. The staff are always very welcoming and accomadating to myself and any visitors she has. The atmosphere is quite homely and upbeat with some good activities and all the holidays and birthdays are celebrated with much enthusiasm and care thankyou for mums great care best wishes Diane .

The facilities could be updated however it is clean and tidy at all times. The staff maintain an air of calmness and confidence when dealing with all the residents. When we visit as a family we are treated with respect and welcomed warmly at any time. Our feelings and opinions are valued and encouraged. We could not have wished for a more fitting place for our precious dad to spend his later years. Thank you Blair House !

I'v been here for approcimatly nine weeks now, no complaints, this place runs like a Swiss watch, I find the staff excelent, nothing is too much trouble for them. My last place was the complete opposite to this place.

I have put satisfactory in some respects not because I have any reason to doubt the items are probably worthy of a higher mark but because I do not have personal experience of them.

From the top down the Staff work well as a team and show they care about what they are doing and who they look after while maintaining a clean and pleasant Home. Of the homes I visited while finding a place for Mum Blair house stood out as the best choice for her, I can only recommend them.

I found all the staff very polite and helpful, caring for my father. All the managers were easy to talk to and understanding and did whatever they could to help me and my father's situation.

What an amazing place - the staff are exceptional - so friendly. The house is always clean and fresh smelling - unlike other places I have visited in the past. My friend always looks well-dressed and is happy here - I was offered a drink as soon as I arrived and was even invited for lunch. It was really nice to see so much activity, residents were playing board games around the tables and there was plenty of laughing and joking between them. A really nice home and one I would recommend.

Always book Mum here when we go on holiday, she considers it her holiday.

Mum has early onset Alzheimer's so gets a little confused with any change in her routine, the staff here always make sure she is comfortable and feels totally home from home - she loves going here.

She says the food is amazing, all home cooked and plenty of it - a real strong point in her view.

The home is always very clean and never have I been there and experienced 'that' smell you so often get from other care homes.

My only small criticism is some of the rooms and furniture is a little dated and could do with a bit of a spruce up.

Welcoming staff who really seem to care for their residents. Lovely garden area, regular entertainment, tea, coffee offered as soon as you arrive or lunch if you are staying a little longer.

I can't thank the management and staff for all their care for my father. Having visited several times while he was in their care, and even after he passed away, always found everyone helpful and friendly. I would recommend Blair House and all the staff to anyone. I was so pleased my father spent his last days here. Thank you for all your help and support.
