I have been a resident at this Care Home for nearly 10 years and I belive it is probably the Best all round care facility I have been in. Apart from when I lived in retirement housing which was and still is as far as Im aware still the same as it was then although I have been informed that these
flats maybe seperated into low-rise blocks of flats on the same sight.

I wanted to write a review as I am very happy with the care my mum receives at Blaire house.she has been there 3 years now and always well cared for. It was very emotional to put mum into residential care but I do feel she is in the best place she can be for her situation. She has settled in well
and the staff are very kind to her. The food is really good and home cooked. The staff are always very welcoming and accomadating to myself and any visitors she has. The atmosphere is quite homely and upbeat with some good activities and all the holidays and birthdays are celebrated with much enthusiasm and care thankyou for mums great care best wishes Diane .

The staff at Blair house are exceptional, they put their heart and soul into caring for the residence. My dad has been at Blair house for a year and more recently has needed lots more care. He is treated with respect, dignity and honour.. they show great affection for him
And know him well.
The
facilities could be updated however it is clean and tidy at all times. The staff maintain an air of calmness and confidence when dealing with all the residents. When we visit as a family we are treated with respect and welcomed warmly at any time. Our feelings and opinions are valued and encouraged. We could not have wished for a more fitting place for our precious dad to spend his later years. Thank you Blair House !

I'v been here for approcimatly nine weeks now, no complaints, this place runs like a Swiss watch, I find the staff excelent, nothing is too much trouble for them. My last place was the complete opposite to this place.

My friend has been a resident in Blair House for several years. She seems well cared for and happy. The staff seem kind and caring. My friend is always nicely dressed and neat and tidy. She is obviously eating well as I think she has put on weight.
I have put satisfactory in some respects not
because I have any reason to doubt the items are probably worthy of a higher mark but because I do not have personal experience of them.

My brother has lived at Blair House for 9 years. He is very happy living there and often says, "I like living here".
He enjoys sitting in the garden. There is also a nice extension sitting room with access to the garden.
There are several parties for the residents during the year e.g. at
Halloween, Christmasm Burns Night and there is a summer party this year on August 15th.
The staff and manager are welcoming to me offering tea or coffee and sometimes I join them for lunch. The food is healthy and tasty. Yesterday, when I visited, one of the staff asked if I would like a photo of my brother and me. I was given 2 good photos of us.
My brother has his own room. The home is very clean. I am always informed about my brother health.
My overall experience of Blair House is excellent.

I have found Blair house and it's Staff deliver a high standard of care in a friendly house sized environment.
They have dealt with any problems my Mother has professionally taking swift action when needed and kept me informed of any issues. I feel I can trust them to do the best they can for my
Mum.
From the top down the Staff work well as a team and show they care about what they are doing and who they look after while maintaining a clean and pleasant Home. Of the homes I visited while finding a place for Mum Blair house stood out as the best choice for her, I can only recommend them.

I found all the staff very polite and helpful, caring for my father. All the managers were easy to talk to and understanding and did whatever they could to help me and my father's situation.

What an amazing place - the staff are exceptional - so friendly. The house is always clean and fresh smelling - unlike other places I have visited in the past. My friend always looks well-dressed and is happy here - I was offered a drink as soon as I arrived and was even invited for lunch. It was
really nice to see so much activity, residents were playing board games around the tables and there was plenty of laughing and joking between them. A really nice home and one I would recommend.

My mum moved into Blair House Care Home back in May 2023, it was a huge relief to my sister and I. From the first day we visited, we felt the staff were very caring. Unfortunately, my mum passed away on 04/10/2023. I cannot thank the manager and staff enough. They were always friendly welcoming and
very patient. The care my mum was given was first-class right until the end, I felt she passed away with respect and dignity. A care home is only as good as the staff who work there, Blair House has impeccable staff!

Always book Mum here when we go on holiday, she considers it her holiday.
Mum has early onset Alzheimer's so gets a little confused with any change in her routine, the staff here always make sure she is comfortable and feels totally home from home - she loves going here.
She says the food is
amazing, all home cooked and plenty of it - a real strong point in her view.
The home is always very clean and never have I been there and experienced 'that' smell you so often get from other care homes.
My only small criticism is some of the rooms and furniture is a little dated and could do with a bit of a spruce up.

Welcoming staff who really seem to care for their residents. Lovely garden area, regular entertainment, tea, coffee offered as soon as you arrive or lunch if you are staying a little longer.

A big thank you to management and all the staff, both upstairs and downstairs, not forgetting the night staff, for looking after Mum in her final years and especially her final few days with the care she was given which was outstanding. Also, for making us very welcome as part of the Blair House
family, it has been a privilege to know you all. If anybody has doubt about placing a loved one in care and are local to Hastings, Blair House is the place, it's not the building but the people inside that make it.

When my husband was accepted into Blair House in 2022, it was a huge relief, as I had been his carer since his dementia was diagnosed in 2016. Fortunately, he settled well.
The manager is very understanding and approachable, always ready to discuss any issues I had relating to his care. She has
gathered together a team of dedicated, compassionate and respectful carers who are continuously alert to personal needs, with reassuring words to calm any fears of anxiety.
Sadly, my husband passed away recently., but I give a heartfelt thank you to the staff who cared for him with great love and compassion. They became like a second family helping us through a heartbreaking time.

I can't thank the management and staff for all their care for my father. Visited for the first time in a year, and the changes have been incredible. The home is clean, bright and cheerful. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I was offered a drink instantly. I understand the home has a new manager, and they have obviously made a lot of difference. I could see all
the residents were looked after really well, staff and residents were happy and sociable. The home had a really good vibe.

Our daughter and I have found Blair House to be very cosy and friendly which is what we were looking for.
He loves the music playing and T.V which is so good for him.
We are very happy to have found this home as it's nice and small.

A friendly place, excellent food and in general, the care is good. The manager couldn't be any better, going that extra mile. I don't have much contact with the deputy manager, but she carries out her duties efficiently. In spite of being so very busy, the carers are kind and there whenever
necessary. The medication is given at the appropriate time and there is somebody there until it has been taken. Some carers are better than others but that is only to be expected.

I am very impressed with all the carers. They have shown my husband, love and a lot of care, all the time he has been at the home. These last few weeks he has been very poorly but all care and attention were given to him with a lot of dignity.

My mum moved into Blair House Care Home back in May 2023, it was a huge relief to my sister and I. From the first day we visited, we felt the staff were very caring. Unfortunately, my mum passed away on 04/10/2023. I cannot thank the manager and staff enough. They were always friendly welcoming and
