My mum has been a resident at Park Beck for a number of years. I have always been happy with the level of care my mum receives and also the level of contacts from the staff and management.

Park Beck is homely, friendly and a wonderful environment for my mum. Before becoming a resident, she was safe and lonely after loosing my dad. The staff are so caring and because of it, my mum's mental health has improved so much. She socialises with the other residents, there's always activities and outings. I am so happy that my mum is here.

My aunt has been here for a few years. The care she recieves is amazing. The staff and management are fantastic and they really do have all residents wellbeing at the heart of their care. This reflects in my aunt's behaviour. She has complex needs, but nothing is ever too big for the carers.

Me and my sister lived together and sadly she had to go into a home for respite. We chose Park Beck due to the welcoming staff. We have no complaints and my sister said she was well looked after and enjoyed the activities.

Unfortunately it was decided that Dad would be cared for in a residential home as he could no longer look after himself. We were given several choices of homes by Adult Social Care and we chose Park Beck. We are very happy that we made this decision. Initially my dad was quite difficult and the staff at Park Beck dealt with this very well. He seems happier now and he gets taken to see my mum, who is in a home elsewhere, on a regular basis. Thank you!

First experience of staying in a care home went well from being greeted at the door by a staff member, who was amazing in assisting with the settling in and making my husband feel comfortable. The manager and all staff were excellent. Please tell them we hope to see them again in the future. Many thanks to you all.

Both my parents are having respite care for one month whilst their bungalow gets much needed work on it. The carers are always polite, patient and helpful. My parents say the food is always lovely and tasty. I visit every day without an appointment and the place is always clean. It was the best home we viewed. Mum has a tv in her room and dad has a sensor mat for when he gets up.

The staff are very friendly, always checking in and made me feel welcome from the start. My dad has told me that they take good care of him and he gets along with them and all evidence points to this being 100% true. I feel that they deserve so much more than what they get for the amazing job they do. I am so glad my dad is there with them as I don't think he could have gone anywhere else that would produce an uplifting vibe as they do at Park Beck and to all the staff, I say thank you.

Theresa Marshall
Theresa MarshallJob Title:Registered ManagerJoined: 2024

I started out in care when my children were small. I worked night shifts once they got older, and then I moved on to day shifts. I progressed to senior carer quickly before being promoted to deputy manager, where I worked closely with the manager for 8 years in a dementia home, which I loved. I completed my level 5 registered manager award at that time. I then felt it was time to venture on my own and became the registered manager of a medium-sized home, putting what I had previously learnt into practice. I then moved to Hastings and felt I needed to find somewhere closer to home. I'm so glad I did, as that's when I found Park Beck 7 months ago, and I have not looked back!

Lucy Ermalai
Lucy ErmalaiJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2022

I joined Park Beck in early 2022, starting as a housekeeper and worked my way up to Deputy Manager. I spend my days either in the office supporting the home manager in the running of the home or on the floor with the residents. Seeing the residents smiling, laughing and feeling safe within the home motivates me to do the best that I can .
