My father is in Moorlands, and the care he has received has been second to none. The staff are always smiling and helpful. The manager and one of the carers always go above and beyond to help me with my dad. I feel very happy and relieved that he is in Moorlands.

The team at Moorlands Care Home have showed patience, sensitivity and strong desire to help/support my husband during his respite stay. The team have good communication skills which helps in delivering the right personal care. The team are trustworthy in making the right decisions in the best interest of my husband during his stay. The team showed empathy they worked hard in making sure my husband is being taken care of.

I went to Moorlands for respite as my husband needed a break, and he went with our grandson on holiday. It is the second time I have been very well looked after both times and became friends with the staff, and enjoyed my stay. Thank you to everyone who looked after me.

Every time I visit my brother is happy, never complains. Everyone is always friendly and very helpful. I can't find anything bad to say.

Such a beautiful home lovely and clean, and the staff are absolutely amazing and so so friendly I couldn't recommend this place enough it also has a warm and inviting environment, have also met with the manager of the home who is exceptionally lovely!

My dad goes to Hawthorne for a weeks respite at a time. Always happy to stay a bit longer if he could. Staff excellent, always time for help and a chat. Well looked after. Plenty of food and cups of tea. I'm happy that I know he is looked after to a high standard. I have given 5 stars because, they do what we want as a family. He is looked after and happy.

I have no complaints and my mum is very happy staying there

Before being admitted to the home mother in law was very independent, not mixing. This was a worry to us thinking that she would not settle. How wrong we were. Despite not being able to hear well she is getting involved not only with the staff but other residents as well. This is all down to the professionalism of the management, nursing staff, cleaners and cooks at the home. They have really made her comfortable in her new surroundings. Believe you me she would be the first to say if she was not happy. I attend on a regular basis and see that they show the same amount of care and patience to other residents.. So a huge thank you to Hawthorn for all that you do.

All of the staff, not only the carers, are so friendly and approachable, and they genuinely do care. There are plenty of activities for the residents to get involved in, as well as downtime for them to enjoy too. The residents really are treated like family, it is their home and they are made to feel like it. I can't thank the staff at Hawthorn Lodge enough for everything they do for my dad, I know it can't be easy but you are so appreciated. Thank you!!

Amazing love the staff , they all do amazing job and look after my nan amazing. Since my nan started living there she having showers and eating the right foods and looking after fully snd getting her into activity s and making friends.

I moved my Nan in to Hawthorne lodge in February due to her needing more care than I can provide and I honestly can not praise the staff enough, they have been amazing with her care and are so patient. I visit my nan weekly but I know in between visits she is looked after and if anything happens I always get a call no matter how big or small. The staff also communicate well with the family and are extremely polite when asked a question. If your looking for somewhere to house an elderly family member who needs extra support I highly recommend Hawthorne lodge.

We were searching for the right place for our mum, we realised that while it's easy to focus on how a home looks, what matters is the care, compassion, and dedication of the staff. Hawthorn stood out from the very beginning. The manager, was excellent-answering all questions promptly and working with agencies to make sure our mum could be placed quickly and smoothly. When we were shown around we immediately felt at ease. They took time to really listen to what we needed, and made us feel reassured. The staff have gone above and beyond to help her settle in. Every request has been acted on swiftly.The atmosphere is warm and welcoming-you are always greeted with a smile, and the staff team work so well together. I would just like to say everything at Hawthorn Lodge is kept to a very high standard from management to staff are all very professional. It gives me peace of mind knowing my mum is well cared for.

After hospital care, my mum was admitted to the care home. The transition was expertly handled by the home. Mum settled in quickly, and this was all due to the management and staff at the home. The staff are all lovely and approachable and really do look after not only my mum but other residents as well with care and attention. Mum is very happy and relaxed, and I feel more at ease now that she is safe and secure. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hawthorn to anyone.

My dad was a resident at Moorlands for palliative care. We were so pleased that he was able to spend time in such a homely and caring environment, which was also very welcoming to family members. Nothing was too much trouble. Everyone was helpful and compassionate. We really appreciated everything you did for us, even though it was just a short stay.
