Cheney House

Cheney House welcomed my mother after a long spell in a rehab situation. She arrived depressed and disoriented but within days had come back to life again. The staff are genuinely caring and helpful and willing to go the extra. I could not recommend Cheney House highly enough

i have not got anything negative to say about this home.all the caregivers are mindful of residents needs and do everything to ensure their overall safety.food is adequate but not enough variety in my husbands opinion. there are no set times for visiting so i can visit anytime

The care and support of my mother at Cheney House continues to be exemplary - particularly since my father passed away in June. The staff have gone over and beyond to help my mother through this difficult time. I cannot recommend Cheney House highly enough!

Mum has been at Cheney House for almost 3 years, and I can honestly say the whole experience has been very good, all the staff are wonderful, Mum is always clean & well dressed and is very content, as a family we couldn't wish for more. When we visit we are always made very welcome, no matter what time or day.

Since Mick came to Cheney House his condition has deteriorated, to the extent he doesn't always know me or our daughter. But I can only be grateful to all the staff for all the care & support they have given to Mick. We always know he is treated with care & respect even when he is being difficult.

I am particularly impressed by the staff of Cheney House. Everyone is so friendly and professional and it is obvious that the staff are fond of the residents. The food is excellent and mum is generally quite happy and I feel she is in a safe environment. There are many differing care requirements across the residents (eg eyesight, hearing, dementia) etc which makes it difficult for the activities to suit everyone, but despite this most residents participate and enjoy the activities.

A very good overall health care. Ann is well looked after and very happy.

I find the care home very good. I have been to others in Northampton. The food is good. The activities are stimulating. I also go to a day centre once a week. I have worked for the Alzheimer's Society as a care support worker. Also I was a mangager in South Northampton.

Very clean, and residents are well cared for. TV and the internet are not good; they need upgrading. Food is excellent, no complaints and good choice of dishes.

I cannot praise and thank all the staff for all their wonderful care they have given my wife in the past almost three months she has been a resident. The atmosphere is simply delightful and very uplifting!

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Cheney House for 10 months. The staff are amazing. The care given is so specific to my mum's needs. We are always made welcome when visiting. My own mother was in a care home in Banbury, and I can honestly say the overall care at Cheney House is much better.

Cheney House is a small and caring home which provides a safe and loving environment where residents are treated with respect and are cared for as part of a wider family and as an individuals in their own right. We, as a family, have high praise and regard for all the staff at Cheney House, which as a family, over the three and a half years our father was a resident, has consistently improved under the management of the current manager and staff.

My father has been at Cheney House for five years now. They have always provided excellent support and care for my father and have always found the manager and other staff very helpful. They have just had to call the local doctor because of an issue with his health and they have contacted me, several times, as soon as they know anything and therefore keep me very informed. I am very happy with their service and care, and I know my father is being very well looked after.

My mother has been at Cheney House for almost two years now. She is happy, settled, and loves it there. She enjoys the activities, and probably most of all the companionship. The management and staff are superb. We are always kept informed of how she is doing and if there are any concerns, and visiting is extremely flexible. All in all, and most importantly, Mum is really happy there.

Very impressed with my friend's progress, so much brighter and talks more than she has in ages, looks so much herself, not so withdrawn. This care home has been good for her and the staff are super, keep up the good work and care for your people here. I'm sure the man upstairs looking down on you would approve as I do.

The care my mum receives is second to none. All of the staff are friendly, and caring and always strive to keep the residents happy and comfortable. I am always kept informed of what is happening with my mum and she is very happy. She is always telling me how lovely everyone is. I couldn't wish for a better setting for her.

We honestly couldn’t have chosen a better place for Mum to stay.
