The team offer a very friendly, welcoming environment involving all residents in activities, family and friends are welcome to visit their loved ones at times which are best for them as no appointments needed to visit at times which are best for them as no appointments are needed to visit. I am made to feel very welcome by staff offering refreshments, such as coffee/tea and always asked if I would like to join my loved one for lunch before I leave. Overall I am very happy with the level of care for my husband from the team.

Having got my father and father-in-law in Cheney House, I cannot recommend it enough. The care is outstanding. I feel that even though sometimes we don't visit enough, I know that they are both well cared for. It puts mine and my mum's minds at ease to know how well they are cared for. The maintenance of Cheney House is always being done to improve it and everywhere is always clean and hygienic.

Visits with my Grandad involve a rollercoaster of emotions, utter joy when he is happy to interact with me, sing little ditties and familiar quotes, play bingo and go for a walk but then extreme sadness when he does not want to interact, is dismissive, angry and walks away, as occurs the majority of visits. It is therefore reassuring when myself or family members don’t visit due to it being emotionally draining, that he is being cared for so well by Cheney House staff.
The new driveway is marvellous, it is reassuring that residents and visitors no longer have a trip risk outside the home and better for vehicles now that there are no potholes!

The home is kept clean and hygienic when there is a risk of infection, visitors are stopped. The manager and staff are friendly, show an interest in me and my family and offer support when emotions run high. Cups of tea are offered at every visit and having kindly been invited to stay for dinner on my Grandad's birthday, I can say that the food is fabulous!

This is the first time my wife has had to go into a care home. I went to view Cheney house with my daughter and we found the home was neat, tidy and clean. The room my wife was given was very good. My wife has settled in well and I am at ease about where she is and see her once a week, as does our daughter.

Cheney House provides the highest standard of care to all service users. The meals are fantastic and varied, they have activities daily and anything service users requires staff will go above and beyond to get it.

They cared for my grandad and I can’t praise them enough for the help and support they gave my family and me. My family was kept informed of anything that needed attention and we were able to visit any time for any duration. Excellent care by amazing staff thank you xx

My father in law received great care at Cheney House. The staff are professional and attentive and take care of his every need. They plan a wide range of activities for him to engage with, have excellent meals and snacks and monitor his overall wellbeing. The care home is well managed and has a "family feel" to it. We are extremely pleased with the provision.

All staff are extremely kind, caring and professional.
They helped mum to settle quickly and made sure she was happy and comfortable. There is always a large variety of activities on offer to the residents and every effort is made to cater to all of their needs.

Very happy that mum was able to attend this establishment in her hour of need. It had a tremendous impact on her and helped improve her quality of life. Thank you all so much.

My husband was admitted to Cheney House on emergency respite. It was a smooth transition for me and my husband. The home manager supported me and explained everything from when we arrived.

The staff were all brilliant. I was made to feel welcome from when we arrived I couldn't have asked for better at a difficult time.

During my recent visit to Cheney House, I found my sister well cared for. I thought that the staff looked after her and myself very attentively. The surroundings whilst ageing were kept in a clean condition. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Since moving into care at the end of last year my brother has settled quite well, although after a lifetime working on a farm he finds it hard not to be able to go outside. Hopefully, with the better weather, he will be able to enjoy the garden area.

Brother went to the care home in a very poor state after not looking after himself and being in hospital. Within a few weeks, he was looking a lot better, eating well and putting on weight. He joins in the activities, which he would never have done before. We have no complaints whatsoever about the way he is being cared for.
