Westlands Care Home is a residential and dementia care facility located in Wellingborough. It is set up to be particularly ideal for people who have developed dementia.

There are calmly decorated bedrooms in muted tones at Westlands, three social areas and an enclosed garden, making for a homely atmosphere that assists staff in carrying out expert care.

Residents have access to a wet room, shower rooms within the building and home-cooked meals are served up daily (with the odd fish and chip supper!)

All laundry is catered for and bedrooms are cleaned daily by housekeeping. Westlands aim is to provide a safe, secure environment that you can call home.

The privately run home also accepts local funded clients with an expected top up fee in addition to the Expected Pay Rate (EPR) which will be discussed with the manager during viewing.

Always a warm welcome, people treated with dignity and empathy. Lots of activities going on every day. Dad seems very settled and happy. Food Dad says is good and is encouraged to keep his fluids up which is good for his overall health. Staff always keep us informed on how Dad is doing which puts our
mind at ease. A big thank you to all the staff.

I have always had a very good experience when visiting Westlands. All staff are very helpful, always. I am always offered a drink as soon as I get there. There are always activities going on.

I have lived here for seven years I am extremely happy that the staff are like family to me. My laundry is returned the same day which is excellent, a five-star service.

My mum was so settled and relaxed after just 24 hours at Westlands. The manager and her team are excellent. Always happy and smiling. The care, happiness and well being of the residents is clearly the number one priority at Westlands. The daily activities stimulate mum and make her laugh and smile.
Mum has regained her appetite and is far more alert. I am 100% confident that mum is in safe hands and will be well cared for. Superb!

Amazing staff. You are always greeted with a huge smiles and the sound of laughter. My mother in law settled in within hours. She has also regained the her appetite that had been declining. It's a great relief that my wife and I know she is in safe hands. Top team

Not always aware of what activities are on offer but resident enjoys them as comment on them. Clothing

All the staff at Wetlands Wellingborough Care Home treat my wife very well indeed, she can be a bit of a handfull at times.
All the staff are very well trained & pleasant.
My wife has been at Weslands with dementia 2 1/2 years. She eats well & she is doing as well as expected.

Lovely caring staff - mum is happy and settled. I like all the activities and the way I'm kept informed with lots of photos on social media! According to mum the staff are lovely, the food is good and she feels looked after!

As a family we cannot fault the super friendly management and staff.
Everyone has a smile on their faces even when faced with challenging behaviour!
Our mother is so well cared for, it was by chance mum was given a room at Westlands after a fall, although initially she wanted to go home, which was
impossible she soon settled, she is very fond of all the staff and has made some good friends.
We do not worry about her, she is happy, well (for nearly 91!) and respected by all, who could ask for more for our much loved mum?

Westlands had a friendly feel the first time we entered while searching for a care home. My mother has always felt safe and cared for during her two years here. Excellent staff and manager. Basic facilities, but always clean and warm.

My aunt has been living in Westlands for the past year since her husband of 40 years sadly passed away. Amazing support and care my aunt has received at Westlands by the Manager and her amazing team of carers.
I have had lovely welcoming visits to Westlands with my aunt and enjoyed hearing about
all the activities and entertainment including dancing and creative that have been done with the residents.

Overall, I think the home is a caring place. The building seems quite tired & rooms could do with a freshen up. Lift is often broken for quite a while, which isn't good. The meals are good. Lack of enough toilet facilities downstairs. Staff are friendly but not a lot of interaction to stimulate the
residents.

My mother-in-law has only been in the care home for three weeks. Every time I have visited the staff have all been polite and helpful. She is always clean and has water available. The home is always clean and tidy.

My mother is a little on the quiet side and so does not like to cause a fuss, so when I ask the staff any questions they are extremely helpful. Whenever I visit the staff always ask if I would like a drink and will fetch my mother down to see me. In my view, the home is run extremely well and efficiently.

I spend my days either in the office supporting the home manager in the running of the home or on the floor with the residents. Seeing the residents smiling, laughing and feeling safe within the home motivates me to do the best that I can.
