Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely and heartfelt review. It really does mean so much to our whole team.We understand what a big decision it can be to move someone you love into a care home, so hearing that you feel moving your nan closer to you was the best decision is incredibly special to us.
It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know your nan and seeing her begin to settle in, build relationships with members of our team and enjoy the different activities we have on offer. We're so pleased to hear how much she enjoyed the puppy therapy and laughter therapy - seeing our residents happy, engaged and enjoying themselves is exactly what we strive for.
Thank you for putting your trust in us to care for someone so precious to you. Your kind words will be shared with our whole team, and I know they will mean a great deal to everyone.
We look forward to making many more happy memories with your nan and your family.

We found ourselves looking for respite care for Mum during a dementia crisis while waiting for an assessment, as she was deteriorating significantly. I visited other homes before Blenheim but felt I was discussing a business transaction rather than the care of someone I loved. Blenheim House was completely different from the first phone call. Lynsey, the manager, was kind, caring, empathetic and genuinely concerned about Mum and how they could help. She listened, was clearly knowledgeable and gave me confidence in a very difficult decision. Mum is still struggling, but Lynsey and her team have been amazing, taking the time to understand her and providing personalised support. Caring for someone with dementia can be complex and incredibly challenging, yet the staff at Blenheim House approach even the most difficult moments with patience, dignity and compassion. Their care extends to families too. I feel incredibly fortunate that I walked through the doors of Blenheim House.

I was welcomed by helpful staff and found a pleasant spot in the garden to visit my father. The staff kindly offered us a drink and a choc ice as the weather was very hot. It was good to see that my father was happy and he looked well cared for by the staff.

All the staff are like family and the care they give to dad and us as a family is supportive, caring, and basically like they are one of our family.
My mum was in another local care home and not doing very well, she felt isolated and wasn't eating as she didn't like the food. My sister and I moved mum into Blenheim House in January 2026 and WOW! She is thriving! She has put on weight, has company with the other residents and has come out of her shell.
The food is of a high standard and both parents enjoy their meals.
I have no hesitation in recommending Blenheim House, the care is second to none. They have and are continuing to make lots of improvements inside and outside.
That gives me great piece of mind.

My name is Lynsey, and I have been part of the Blenheim Care Home family since 2011. I began my journey as a Night Healthcare Assistant before progressing into an Administration role, then Deputy Manager, and finally becoming Home Manager in April 2024.
Throughout my career, I have been committed to developing my knowledge and skills, and I am proud to have achieved my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care. Having worked my way through each stage of the home, I have developed a deep understanding of the needs of our residents, their families, and our dedicated team.
I feel incredibly privileged to have been given the opportunity to lead a home that has been such an important part of my life for so many years. Blenheim has always felt like home to me, and I truly believe I am the right person to lead the team because I understand the home, its values, and the people who make it so special.
I am passionate about maintaining a warm, caring, and supportive environment where residents can feel safe, respected, and valued.
