I think it's common knowledge that Blenheim House had some managerial problems in the past and that the home wasn't running in the manner that we all expected but then, the new manager appeared!

Since her arrival and her staff rallying to her leadership, the home is now exemplary and I would have no qualms of recommending it to anyone who had loved ones in need of care.

Mum was admitted to Blenheim House unable to walk and very poor appetite, with the help and encouragement of the staff Mum soon flourished. I found the staff at all times treated Mum as though she was the only resident. Nothing was too much trouble. The love and attention they showed Mum was beyond anything we could have wished for. Mum loved both the staff and the home, she always said home good the food was, always cooked from fresh. At Mum's death, all the staff showed great compassion and dignity for both Mum and me and my husband, we were by Mum's side as she passed away. The staff always made us feel very welcome when we visited Mum. We both said if in later life we had to go into a home we would hope it's like Blenheim. A big thank you to all the staff.

My mum is in the care of Blenheim House for a short period of time. I think the staff do a grand job caring for the elderly. When I visit, I notice at times that the carers are very stretched at times and they really have their work cut out.

My wife and I have found the home to be very comfortable for my Mother in law.
We can see that she is very well cared for both day and night.
All the staff are very kind and treat her with consideration and respect at all times.
The home lay on regular entertainment often twice a week, which my Mother in law really enjoys.
She tells us that all the meals are lovely with a good choice.

Thank you to all at Blenheim House.

My father was only here at Blenheim for a short time but was always treated with care and consideration. We found all the staff from the manager through to the cleaning staff are always friendly and helpful.

The carers were excellent, treating my father with dignity and dealing with his many needs, especially towards the end of his life, with consideration. Thank you to you all.

My Mother has been a resident of Blenheim House since early January 2018. During her stay she seems to have settled in very well and appears to have made a number of friends amongst other residents and staff. Due to my Mothers dementia condition she needs constant reassurance and kindness by staff, which I can tell she gets 24/7 in a warm, friendly environment provided by all the staff and manager at Blenheim House.

The home is clean and tidy and the staff are very helpful and happy and always interacting with the residents. The manager is polite and always there to talk and provides the home with different activities for all the residents.

My mother-in-law is very happy living there and always looks clean and tidy. They always have home cooked food and a balanced diet which is excellent. That's what my mother-in-law likes and a good variety of food and drink.

I visit my nan on a regular basis at Blenheim House. She always seems happy and only says good things about the home, staff and meals that always look amazing. She compliments the activities as they always seem to do things my nan likes to do. Personal experience with the home staff and manager are that the home is well led and the staff always seem to be happy. I like the fact that the staff appear to have worked at the home for a while and it is nice to see familiar faces on every visit - Keep up the good work.

My mum has been at Blenheim House for a little over two years now, she is very happy and settled. The food is wonderful, fresh and a lovely variety daily. Leading up to Christmas this year they have had different live entertainers, it's been so lovely for them all. We always feel really welcome there - a real home from home. They have an activities lady who is also a highly trained care assistant, so there is lots going on. I would definitely recommend Blenheim House.

I visit a resident at the home on a weekly basis and have done for more than a year. Everyone I have encountered of the staff are fantastic at the work they do and the care they provide. They are always happy despite any difficulties and are more than happy to fo the extra mile with residents and visitors.

I cannot praise the staff highly enough or thank them enough for everything.

My partner has been a resident here for the past year and a half. In all this time he has been treated with great care, kindness and professionalism, even though his health was deteriorating, he was still able to lead a full and happy life thanks to the efforts of staff and management alike. I cannot thank them enough.

The standard of this Care Home is very high. The staff are vigilant, kind and patient. The bedrooms are clean, tidy and well furnished. The public rooms are well furnished with ample space for all the residents. Nothing is too much trouble and during the recent illness of my cousin the staff could not have been more professional. In fact my cousin was looked after a lot better in the Care Home than she was when taken to hospital.

My dad is now a permanent resident at Blenheim House and I am so happy that he is in their care. He has a lovely room overlooking the garden and whenever I visit the staff are always so kind and attentive towards him. He always has a drink and something to eat in front of him and from the very first day he went to Blenheim House he has always said he is happy. When I leave him I know he is safe and well cared for and that is so very important where a loved one is concerned.

My name is Lynsey, and I have been part of the Blenheim Care Home family since 2011. I began my journey as a Night Healthcare Assistant before progressing into an Administration role, then Deputy Manager, and finally becoming Home Manager in April 2024.

Throughout my career, I have been committed to developing my knowledge and skills, and I am proud to have achieved my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care. Having worked my way through each stage of the home, I have developed a deep understanding of the needs of our residents, their families, and our dedicated team.
