St Catherine's Nursing Home

This is my dad's third carehome and the best by far.

The staff were great dealing with dad and his stubbornness as his health deteriorated, he was treated with dignity and respect. The staff were also supportive with all the family and called me when the end was close so we could say goodbye.

Mum came to St Catherine's from hospital for an assessment period which is to be done on the 18th of this month, to be honest I was at first apprehensive due to location, but how wrong I was! The staff are so kind, helpful, friendly and considerate. The food and facilities are great, clean and well-equipped. The management team are excellent, always on hand overseeing everything. My mum looks the happiest I have seen her in a long time.

I had a wonderful experience with St. Catherine's Nursing Home. The staff are incredibly caring and attentive, always going above and beyond to make sure the residents feel comfortable and valued. The facility is clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, with a warm and homely atmosphere. It's clear that the team genuinely cares about the well-being of each individual. My family and I felt at ease knowing our loved one was in such compassionate hands. Highly recommend St. Catherine's to anyone looking for a supportive and nurturing environment!

Mum was discharged from hospital to this nursing home in June and has received a high standard of care. During her last few days the care was excellent, compassionate and attentive to my mum and also towards myself and my brother.

Very friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble. Very welcoming.

Food and snacks fantastic always plenty of hot and cold drinks my husband was always clean shaven and well turned out I didn't want my husband this far away from his home village but must admit I have no bad reports to say about St Catherine and would highly recommend everyone.

I could not fault any of the staff. I was very concerned about putting my dad into a care home but everyone put my mind at ease. Every time we visited he was clean, tidy and shaved. Many thanks to everyone who cared for him.

Mum has been in St Catherine's now for 3 years, although she has now dementia can't walk and needs help feeding, I feel mum gets the attention and help she needs, I've got to know the senior nurses and permanent staff very well and if I have any concerns they are sorted, and can have information on her nursing files. A thank you to the hard work they do to the challenging work they have to do.

When mum was admitted from hospital I was not happy with the look of the home as it is faded and the rooms were very small. However, I looked past this because the care mum receives is wonderful. She is not easy due to some dementia but she is treated with dignity and respect. Most of the time mum is in bed but she has no sign of bedsores which says a lot about the care she receives. The food is excellent.

My mum has been in St Catherine's Nursing Home for the last couple of months. I feel she has now really settled in. All the staff are amazing. They really look after all the residents. It is a very nice, clean and friendly care home. I take peace in knowing my mum is being looked after by such a lovely team of caring people.

My sister-in-law is in this care home and the latest date we went is 14/07/2025 the care she receives is absolutely excellent. There is a member of staff in each room is looking after them while they are sat during the day. And also doing activities with them. It is no trouble with the staff with coming for a chat with us to talk to us about my sister-in-law and let us know how she is getting on.

I have found the staff patient and understanding.

My stepmother was taken into care suffering from dementia and lived at St Catherine's for the final 3 years of her life. Her room was spatious and aesthetically pleasing and always clean & tidy. She was surrounded by staff who looked after her emotional and physical well-being to such an extent that she felt loved and safe. I was able to give full trust to the wonderful staff who provided this care and who stayed with her at all hours in her final days.

Would just like to say thank you to the amazing staff, they answer your questions straight away. The care for my mum is amazing. My mum is now end of life care but the staff always feed, check, and change mum. I can not explain in words how much my mum is looked after. The staff need paying a lot more with what they have to do and calm situations down when the resident becomes violent because of their illness. Thank you a million times.

Carers are very kind, patient and respectful to the residents. Not always a great choice for vegetarians regards food.

My dad is well cared for and clean by very caring and friendly staff who try to interact with him. They treat him with respect and keep his dignity. They are always very welcoming to the family, whatever time of day. We feel the rooms need decorating and updating.

I can't fault the staff for their caring nature and the genuine way that they care for the residents. All the staff care for the residents in a caring and professional way. I know that my mother is being well cared for, and this gives me peace of mind.

St Catherine's is Mum's second nursing home, and up to press, it's the best. Mum is well looked after, with loving care. This nursing home is so good I don't have any guilt now when I leave Mum to come home. Her surroundings are always clean, and the food is acceptable. The staff are brilliant, and one member, what a star she is - every care home should have one of her!
