Thirty-one residents are cared for in a converted Georgian property, with the addition of a sensory corridor for residents to walk around and enjoy, and a flexible outlook on health services with excellent links to District Nurses, GP surgeries and Hospice care.

I am very happy with the care that my mum receives at the Hollies. The staff are all friendly and welcoming and attentive to the residents' needs. The activities provided are varied and I especially like the music activities and summer garden parties/barbecues. The standard of food and drink is excellent
and the home and mum's room are always clean. Good communication between home and relatives.

Visited my grandad, staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing is any trouble for any of them. My grandad is always really well looked after and he feels it is a home from home. They do daily activities with the residents which he loves and it really keeps him engaged.
Family days are lovely
and always a pleasure to attend.

The staff at the care home (The Hollies) are very sincere and caring and are very patient and compassionate with Mum. They are very attentive and have acted immediately when Mum has fallen. They hold events and keep the residents stimulated. It is very homely and the food nutritious.

My mum is very happy at The Hollies. All the staff are kind, caring and very friendly. The food is good, lots of activities are organised, e.g. good singers, lots of family events etc. I really like the way the staff bring in their own children - everyone is caring. We have no complaints at all.

The Hollie's is always spotlessly clean and tidy.
Always smells lovely inside.
All of the staff are both very friendly and very helpful. We are always kept informed of anything occuring with mum and invited to their fantastic events throughout the year.

The hollies is small enough to make it feel like a big happy family of residents living together. The staff get to know each of them well and so are able to get to know their likes and dislikes, and needs. The care is wonderful and residents are understood well. Mums very happy living here.

The care at The Hollies is second to none. My mother has settled in there very well and is happy, which is something I never thought would happen!
Any problems are dealt with promptly and we are always kept informed.

It was a very difficult time for my dad when advanced Parkinson's forced him to go into a care home 4 years ago. Luckily we found the Hollies. The manager and the team soon settled him in and made him comfortable, and he is happily settled in and calls it home. Most importantly, it genuinely feels
like home with the staff of the Hollies becoming his family. They are so kind, and are always organising fun things to do, magicians, crafts, sing a longs. In fact it is not uncommon for some of the staff to break out into spontaneous song which the residents always love and join in with. As a family we don't think we could have done better for him as the care at the Hollies is so outstanding.

My dad has been a resident at The Hollies since January 2020 and has a diagnosis of Lewy body dementia. He has always received dignified, kind and professional care there. He is always commenting on how helpful each staff member is to him. As a family, we've always felt welcomed and supported too by
the staff which has made a huge difference to us all. It is a friendly atmosphere and we are always welcomed kindly when we visit. We are kept up to date with any issues that need to be addressed around Dad's ongoing care. It really has become like a second family to Dad who has given him a very important quality of life at this stage in his dementia. We are very grateful for the care he receives there and can't praise them highly enough, for all they have done and do do.

The staff at the Hollies were fabulous when caring for my mother, who had dementia and other conditions. They were always on the ball, particularly when it came to dealing with multiple outside agencies. A staff member even took Mum to the hospital for an appointment and waited with her for 13 hours.
Your relatives will be in very good hands.

The manager and staff consistently offer an extremely high level of care to residents. The home is very safe, clean and comfortable with lots of variety in home-cooked high-quality meals and opportunities for residents to be involved in activities if they wish. I couldn’t ask for better care by the
manager who is outstanding and ensures all her team deliver her own high standards.

I have 13 years of experience in hospital and community health setting before coming to UK. I am a nurse and have degree in Physiotherapy. I have been working in the social health care setting for the last 15 years, and 10 years as a registered care home manager. I joined Regal in 2009 and started at the bottom and climbed the ladder as they say. I am passionate about my work and committed myself to promoting equality and diversity and promote the highest standard of care. I am a constant believer of constant improvement of knowledge and skills in which I always encourage and advocate all the staff to do the same. I just got my post graduate MSc in Dementia Studies to be better equipped and be effective in caring for people living with dementia. Working in care is not just a job, it's my passion, it's my vocation as it gives me fulfilment in making a difference in some one else's life.

I started working at the Hollies in 2013. I achieved my Level 2 Health & Social Care and became a Senior Healthcare Assistant. I took some time out of work to have my family and on return to work I became an Activity Coordinator. I love my new job role as I love being able to interact with the residents and I feel I can have a lot more one to one time with them. We all have great fun planning the activities together and it's really nice to give the residents something to look forward to.
