Thirty-one residents are cared for in a converted Georgian property, with the addition of a sensory corridor for residents to walk around and enjoy, and a flexible outlook on health services with excellent links to District Nurses, GP surgeries and Hospice care.

The service is regulated by the Care Quality Commission, and looks to adhere to all areas of health, hygiene and security, while maintaining a friendly outlook to residents' personal wishes.

Over the last four years I have seen much improvement to the facilities and the environment with the new owners making considerate improvements. Whenever visiting you are always greeted in a friendly manner and made welcome. During my visits I have observed staff regularly checking residents to see
if they are okay and if they require anything, there is always food and drink available between regular meals.
Activities have been increased by the manager and staff. The manager is always approachable with nothing ever being a problem.

My main concern was care for my wife with this in mind I can honestly say that the care she receives from The Hollies cannot be faulted. Management and staff are great. Until August 2015 the home could have been classed as shabby chic but clean but now due to a complete refurbishment it can be classed
in the upper region of care homes.

I have 13 years of experience in hospital and community health setting before coming to UK. I am a nurse and have degree in Physiotherapy. I have been working in the social health care setting for the last 15 years, and 10 years as a registered care home manager. I joined Regal in 2009 and started at the bottom and climbed the ladder as they say. I am passionate about my work and committed myself to promoting equality and diversity and promote the highest standard of care. I am a constant believer of constant improvement of knowledge and skills in which I always encourage and advocate all the staff to do the same. I just got my post graduate MSc in Dementia Studies to be better equipped and be effective in caring for people living with dementia. Working in care is not just a job, it's my passion, it's my vocation as it gives me fulfilment in making a difference in some one else's life.

I started working at The Hollies in 2012, I started working as a care assistant, after one year I trained to become a senior care assistant and then onto The Deputy manager for the last 7 years. I really enjoy working in Dementia care and being able to make the residents life more worthwhile. I am currently now finishing my Level 5 management. I love working in care and looking after individuals living with dementia. I find great pleasure and fulfilment to make a difference in someone else's life no matter how big and small.

I started working at the Hollies in 2013. I achieved my Level 2 Health & Social Care and became a Senior Healthcare Assistant. I took some time out of work to have my family and on return to work I became an Activity Coordinator. I love my new job role as I love being able to interact with the residents and I feel I can have a lot more one to one time with them. We all have great fun planning the activities together and it's really nice to give the residents something to look forward to. Some of our favourite activities are singing, arts & crafts and day trips out.
