My Aunt lives here, she is treated incredibly well, as are my family and I when we visit.
The manager and her team are absolutely fabulous - caring, kind, funny, welcoming and knowledgeable.
If I end up in the situation of needing this type of care, I want to move here so I know I will be loved and cared for.

The food is delicious too!

Everyone at The Hollies is wonderful. Happy, friendly people.
I love coming over to see all of the staff. I really do love them all. The food is delicious especially the homemade biscuits, yum.
As I said I do love them all, but I have great feelings for two in particular.

Love to you all.

Of course, was very worried about Mum going into a care home. But have been really please don how things are going. Mum is looked after so well. All the staff are very kind and patient with Mum and the other residents. There are always fun things for them to do i.e. dancing, singing, arts and crafts. Brilliant.

My mother is safe and happy at The Hollies. She was originally in a home in Maidstone, although it looked very smart the staff were uncaring and could not be bothered to help her. I transferred her to The Hollies and what a difference. The staff are so caring and cheerful. I feel my mother is treated with respect and compassion.

I am very happy. I like my bedroom. Since coming here I have found love. The food is very nice, but the staff are nicer, always happy to have a giggle. I like to go out on trips and I like going into the garden to have a BBQ.

Firstly, all staff are kind. This counts for a lot. The food is excellent and all residents are catered for amply. There is always something going on with residents being engaged personally by staff. It will be even better in Spring and Summer, when residents can enjoy the splendid garden, along with family and friends.

My mum is very well looked after. Carers are very patient and treat her with dignity. I know she is in good hands. Always made to feel welcome when I visit, which is often. When she was ill, the care she received was second to none. Garden is nice and big for residents in summer. Kitchen staff are lovely. Feels homely.

My sister, who can present quite challenging behaviour, is treated with kindness and respect (as are all the other residents).

The staff show genuine warmth to all, and know each person, their history and needs, treating them with unfailing patience.

The care and support provided at The Hollies is very visible when visiting. My mother has been confined to her home prior to moving, and has now become a different person. More sociable, enjoying the activities and the wonderful days out, she feels safe and looked after.

My mother in law came to the The Hollies in Feb 16 from that date she was made to feel welcome, a home from home she called it, staff were wonderful. Plenty of food choice and very clean. Sadly my mother in law passed away in May. All staff were very supportive and it was lovely that staff attended the funeral, even now at this difficult time The Hollies welcomes us for tea/coffee. An absolutely fantastic place with excellent care staff.

I have 13 years of experience in hospital and community health setting before coming to UK. I am a nurse and have degree in Physiotherapy. I have been working in the social health care setting for the last 15 years, and 10 years as a registered care home manager. I joined Regal in 2009 and started at the bottom and climbed the ladder as they say. I am passionate about my work and committed myself to promoting equality and diversity and promote the highest standard of care. I am a constant believer of constant improvement of knowledge and skills in which I always encourage and advocate all the staff to do the same. I just got my post graduate MSc in Dementia Studies to be better equipped and be effective in caring for people living with dementia. Working in care is not just a job, it's my passion, it's my vocation as it gives me fulfilment in making a difference in some one else's life.

I started working at the Hollies in 2013. I achieved my Level 2 Health & Social Care and became a Senior Healthcare Assistant. I took some time out of work to have my family and on return to work I became an Activity Coordinator. I love my new job role as I love being able to interact with the residents and I feel I can have a lot more one to one time with them. We all have great fun planning the activities together and it's really nice to give the residents something to look forward to. Some of our favourite activities are singing, arts & crafts and day trips out.
