The Hollies provides quality Dementia Care in a residential setting located close to Tunbridge Wells, from a comfortable facility with scenic grounds.

Thirty-one residents are cared for in a converted Georgian property, with the addition of a sensory corridor for residents to walk around and enjoy, and a flexible outlook on health services with excellent links to District Nurses, GP surgeries and Hospice care.

The service is regulated by the Care Quality Commission, and looks to adhere to all areas of health, hygiene and security, while maintaining a friendly outlook to residents' personal wishes.

It is a positive experience. They looked after my sister very well. Whenever I visited I was given a cup of coffee. Everyone has been very kind to me.

My mother is safe and happy at The Hollies. She was originally in a home in Maidstone, although it looked very smart the staff were uncaring and could not be bothered to help her. I transferred her to The Hollies and what a difference. The staff are so caring and cheerful. I feel my mother is treated
with respect and compassion.

I am very happy. I like my bedroom. Since coming here I have found love. The food is very nice, but the staff are nicer, always happy to have a giggle. I like to go out on trips and I like going into the garden to have a BBQ.

I have lived here for over 18 months. The staff are lovely, helpful and have gotten me through some very hard times. They always like to take people out on trips which I enjoy lots. They are patient and we can always have a laugh.

Firstly, all staff are kind. This counts for a lot. The food is excellent and all residents are catered for amply. There is always something going on with residents being engaged personally by staff. It will be even better in Spring and Summer, when residents can enjoy the splendid garden, along with

My mum is very well looked after. Carers are very patient and treat her with dignity. I know she is in good hands. Always made to feel welcome when I visit, which is often. When she was ill, the care she received was second to none. Garden is nice and big for residents in summer. Kitchen staff are lovely.

I am very happy with the care my mother receives at The Hollies. The staff are very friendly and kind. Mum enjoys the social events such as singing, cheese and 'wine' (grape juice) parties. Staff are always welcoming. The place is always clean and tidy including her bedroom. Food is nice.

My sister, who can present quite challenging behaviour, is treated with kindness and respect (as are all the other residents).

The care and support provided at The Hollies is very visible when visiting. My mother has been confined to her home prior to moving, and has now become a different person. More sociable, enjoying the activities and the wonderful days out, she feels safe and looked after.

My mother in law came to the The Hollies in Feb 16 from that date she was made to feel welcome, a home from home she called it, staff were wonderful. Plenty of food choice and very clean. Sadly my mother in law passed away in May. All staff were very supportive and it was lovely that staff attended
the funeral, even now at this difficult time The Hollies welcomes us for tea/coffee. An absolutely fantastic place with excellent care staff.

I have visited The Hollies regularly, ie. twice a week for more than two years. The elderly man I visit (aged 91) had previously lived 'rough' for forty years but, to our relief, has settled well at The Hollies. He is clean, well dressed, well fed, the staff have been unfailingly welcoming, cheerful,
warm, good humoured and totally accepting.
They cope greatly and affectionately with some very difficult and demanding residents. They involve my friend in planning and working in the garden, which has regained a sense of purpose, self-esteem. I cannot thank them enough.

I have 13 years of experience in hospital and community health setting before coming to UK. I am a nurse and have degree in Physiotherapy. I have been working in the social health care setting for the last 15 years, and 10 years as a registered care home manager. I joined Regal in 2009 and started at the bottom and climbed the ladder as they say. I am passionate about my work and committed myself to promoting equality and diversity and promote the highest standard of care. I am a constant believer of constant improvement of knowledge and skills in which I always encourage and advocate all the staff to do the same. I just got my post graduate MSc in Dementia Studies to be better equipped and be effective in caring for people living with dementia. Working in care is not just a job, it's my passion, it's my vocation as it gives me fulfilment in making a difference in some one else's life.

I started working at The Hollies in 2012, I started working as a care assistant, after one year I trained to become a senior care assistant and then onto The Deputy manager for the last 7 years. I love working in care and looking after individuals living with dementia. I find great pleasure and fulfilment to make a difference in someone else's life no matter how big and small.

I started working at the Hollies in 2013. I achieved my Level 2 Health & Social Care and became a Senior Healthcare Assistant. I took some time out of work to have my family and on return to work I became an Activity Coordinator. I love my new job role as I love being able to interact with the residents and I feel I can have a lot more one to one time with them. We all have great fun planning the activities together and it's really nice to give the residents something to look forward to. Some of our favourite activities are singing, arts & crafts and day trips out.
