My mum has been at Alpine for almost eight months and she settled in so well. The staff are all kind and welcoming, not only to my mum but also to me and my children when we visit. I am very happy with her care. I always receive updates on anything she needs and any concerns they have with her.
Mum seems very content and there are always different activities going on to keep her mind active. I particularly love the updates on their social media page where I can see what Mum has been doing.
Mum being in Alpine has put my mind at rest knowing she is always being cared for by lovely people who treat her like family.

I would highly recommend this home. It's not a luxury care home but doesn't pretend to be. Instead, it is like a home from home which is exactly what my mum needed.

I am very happy with the care provided at this home for my mother who has dementia. The staff are all friendly and kind and my mother appears to be well looked after and happy in the home. There are lots of activities, particularly at Christmas, and visiting hours are flexible.

We absolutely made the right choice by choosing Alpine. All the staff are fantastic, they are so friendly and clearly care about the residents. We have no issues or concerns at all about the care and treatment our dad receives. He loves being looked after by all the staff at the home. My dad moved into Alpine in 2022. He has received tremendous care. We have phone calls if they need authority for care. The home is warm and clean with no ‘care home’ associated smells. There are fantastic activities throughout the day and we are regularly updated with photos of these on a closed social media group page which is a really nice thing to see. We are so grateful to the staff for everything they do. There is light-hearted banter between the residents and staff which makes for a very relaxed and happy home.

Mum has been in Alpine Care Home for nearly 5 years. The turnover of staff has been minimal so they have all got to know her and her needs extremely well. The staff are always cheerful and show her the utmost respect and patience, she feels safe and secure there. We get regular reports and phone calls with any updates on her care package and any health concerns. They have worked so hard throughout the pandemic to make everything as normal as possible for the residents. They all deserve a medal. Well done Alpine staff.

My father and his wife have been residents at the Alpine Care Home for the past year. I feel very confident that they are treated with respect, kindness, and that they are recognised for who they are. They have their own double bed and room, which is very homely. The manager and her staff tread a careful path to negotiate with dad when needing to persuade him to do things for his own safety. There have been very many kind indulgences for them, such as special meals to celebrate special occasions. The staff know them and enjoy them as personalities. Rules and regulations are thoughtfully and compassionately drawn. Communication with my dad, and with the staff has been excellent and I can call any time, as dad can me. The last thing my dad and I wanted was for him to go to a care home, but I do feel that they are well cared for and remain themselves. Staff take great care to ensure their clothes and presentation are as dad and his wife would want. Efficient and homely.

I would like to congratulate the staff at Alpine for the outstanding service they have provided this year. During these difficult times, it has been so comforting to know that my mother has been cared for by such a kind, dedicated and professional team in a warm and homely environment. The manager and all the staff have ensured that we are kept informed at all times of my mother’s wellbeing and we have appreciated the video calls and Covid secure visits. They have worked so hard keeping the residents entertained and I thank them all for the care and attention to both the residents and the relatives. I would have no hesitation in recommending Alpine.

An updated review since Covid 19 began:

My mother entered Alpine Care just before lockdown began in March and the family only managed to visit her once before the home closed - thankfully early to visitors which has kept the home safe; it’s with the manager and staff’s dedication that this Home has dodged the Covid-19 grasp. Add to that the (now improved) contact about mum, what occupies her and the residents - especially with the activity co-ordinator's creativeness is praiseworthy. My biggest wish is for their neighbour to sacrifice some of the parking space at the front of Alpine property grounds to extend and landscape the existing small garden for the residents and staff to enjoy. All strength to the team for managing a difficult year of tough challenges!

My Mother has been in the home for over 3 years now and I could not be more pleased with the way she has been looked after and the way the staff have done everything possible to make her at home. Mum has advanced dementia and the care she receives is so friendly and yet fully professional. The staff have done a great job of preventing Covid virus entering the home and have allowed us to Facetime and visit viewing from outside through a shut glazed door and have now gone further with a pod linked by intercom which is much more than we could have expected. Top marks for everything.

Everyone is so friendly, caring and with a great sense of humour. I feel so confident leaving my mother in their capable hands and they seem to understand her ways so well. All the residents seem to be very happy there too.
During the difficult times this year, I have been kept informed of any developments both about my mother and the home in general.
When my mother has been unwell immediate advice is sought and I am immediately informed.

I have recommended the home to another family and I know they are pleased with their decision to place their mother in Alpine’s Care. I was recommended the home by another friend just over a year ago and I am so glad I immediately viewed the home. My family are able to relax knowing Mum is in good hands.

The team at the Alpine Care Home has proved itself to be dedicated, kind and professional. They've been like that since my father moved in just over a year ago, and have continued to give the same excellent level of care - even during these challenging times.
My father has dementia, but the team have ensured he is always very happy and that the illness never denies him his dignity. They are warm and caring. We see this every time we visit or speak over video chat. It is very reassuring

that the home provides the warmth and care that you would expect to find in a family setting but with professional staff who are trained to handle the care and medical needs. I have also always been extremely impressed by the manager at Alpine. Her communication and kindness have been flawless. I cannot recommend this home enough.

At a time when the pressure on care homes is at its peak, I would like to praise all the staff at Alpine for their excellent response to the Coronavirus crisis. They have maintained their high standard of care despite all the additional requirements and still been able to communicate with relatives both by email, phone, apps and video calls. The safety and health, both physical and mental, of both their residents and staff, has been a priority and much appreciated as a relative. We are very grateful to have such an amazing, dedicated team working tirelessly under such difficult conditions.

The staff take good care of my mum ensuring she has the best quality of life on a daily basis.

Plenty of activities and stimulation are provided and all are encouraged to take part. The staff are readily able to discuss how my mum is and let us know if any problems occur.

I have been in Health and Social Care since 1986, 39 years now. I started my journey working in a hospital environment for people who had physical and severe mental health disabilities. I then moved into a small home in the community, still working with adults who had these difficulties. I stayed in this field until 2000, that's when I found my passion for working with people living with Alzheimer's and other Dementias. I have worked managing very successful care homes since. I have furthered my knowledge and skills by completing my Registered Managers Award, NVQ Level 4 and my Diploma 5 in Health and Social Care. My passion is making a difference in the lives of people we care for and their families.

With over 20 years of experience across care, education, and the activity provision sector, and as a multi-award-winning professional, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with people living with their own unique needs and challenges, which has opened up a whole new world for me, one that is deeply interesting, endlessly inspiring, and incredibly rewarding. This role continues to teach me so much, and I feel truly honoured to support and connect with individuals at such a meaningful stage of life.

I have a deep passion for creating nutritious, delicious meals, and I bring a wealth of experience and a personal touch to every dish I prepare. I do my best to ensure that every meal is not only healthy but also enjoyable and tailored to the individual preferences and dietary needs of our residents. I believe that food is not just fuel; it’s an experience that should nourish both the body and the soul. In my role, I take great pride in preparing meals that bring comfort, joy, and a sense of home to our residents. Its important to listen and learn about residents' favourite foods and their preferences, offering a choice. Every dish is made with care, whether it's a favourite comfort food or something new to excite their taste buds. I am told by our team that sometimes the meals I spark conversations and fond memories of cooking or eating with their families. It’s actually heart-warming to hear how through cooking meals that the residents enjoy, I can contribute to making a difference and help with well being and memory.
