Mum has been a resident for over a year now. I am so pleased with how she is looked after. All staff are so friendly and caring and are on the ball when there is a problem. There are plenty of activities for the residents and they are encouraged to join in which is great!

The worry is taken off our shoulders as we know she is happy!

We've been so pleased with Alpine Care Home. My nan has now been here for a few months and seems to have settled in very well. Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming with her and us every time we visit. They do so many activities and always have a very happy atmosphere.

Our Mum has been in the home for just a few weeks now and after a difficult first couple of weeks. She really didn't want to be there, she has settled very nicely. This is due to the care, attention and perseverance shown by the staff who have really worked hard with her and even got her join in with activities and be part of the Alpine community, something we never thought we'd see. Thanks very much.

I can only say my experience of this home who have looked after my father till he passed away and currently looking after my mother can only be positive.
A very happy good feel care home run by very caring staff right across the board.
Have always made sure that my parent's needs have been met and also both my brother and myself have seen on many occasions how all members of staff have made sure that they have never been left alone or unattended.
When my parents were more mobile it was nice to see that they would be taken out on occasions to shops and I know a regular trip to the garden centre always went down well.
Both my brother and myself have never felt there has been any cause for concern.
Also we are always contacted with any issues that do arise and we are always kept updated.

Overall my impression is that this care home is a very caring run home and a happy place to be.

Mum has been at the Alpine for several years now, she has mental health needs which would not normally be expected to be managed by a care home, however the staff at the Alpine show such care and compassion when her mental health deteriorates and because they treat everyone as individuals they have spent time in developing the best way to support her. They always keep me informed if there are any changes in Mum's health and I am always included in any decision-making. As I hope they know, I am very grateful to them.

I have also felt hugely supported at what has been a very difficult time for me.

My Mum (who means the world to me and my family), has been at Alpine Care Home for some time now.

Mum was very poorly and taken to hospital and We all feared the worst, but the care at the hospital was actually the worst! My mother was abandoned and left to fade!

It clearly wasn't her time and the incredible manager and team (all amazing), visited Mum and the conducted an operation to get Mum back to the home from hospital where she could at least have dignity

(I can't tell you how rubbish the NHS was with her and other elderly people that weekend)

Mum returned to Alpine where she has improved inconceivably - through dignity and care and compassion, and clearly love!

I hope anyone thinking of having a loved one cared for to consider Alpine, where Kim and her team are incredible.

My Mum would be so impressed - and I will always be super grateful to the team at Alpine.

My mum has been a resident at Alpine for seven years. She has Alzheimer's Disease. Since day one, the staff have been friendly and patient, although Mum's moods have not always been easy to deal with. Mum is happy there, largely because she feels comfortable with the staff, the majority of whom have been there since she moved in. The activities coordinator arranges a good variety of activities, encouraging all the residents to join in. Mum's room is clean and comfortable, and she really enjoys the regular, good-quality meals and snacks. Staff go out of their way to celebrate special occasions. Mum's 90th birthday party was spectacular. Alpine arranged for a singer to come and sing wartime and similar era songs, which Mum and the other residents really enjoyed joining in with. Alpine provided an enormous balloon and banner and a special afternoon tea for Mum, my sister and I. Alpine has been great with Mum. They understand her and know exactly how to deal with her on her difficult days.

Mum went into Alpine at the beginning of lockdown, understandably it took a while for her to settle but the staff couldn't have done more to help her and to communicate with us as well. She has now been at Alpine for a couple of years and looks so well and couldn't be more content. Food is home-cooked and enjoyed, activities are always available and her favourite tipple is enjoyed in the evening! Mum is happy and so am I, so I couldn't ask for anything more. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alpine.

Generally very pleased with our relative’s care at Alpine. The outside could be improved as it is rather tatty looking close up and maybe the outdoor social space be made more appealing and appears neglected, but overall the home is good. Always appears clean and has no typical care home odour.

I'm very happy with the care provided to my father by the staff of Alpine in Sevenoaks. The manager is always across the details and the staff are friendly and caring. When I visit I'm always made to feel very welcome and offered tea/coffee and biscuits. My father is happy and settled and looks so much healthier than he did when living alone. He seems to enjoy the atmosphere and the social activities and is well-rested. I'm very grateful to Alpine for caring for him so well.

Kim JonesJob Title:Registered ManagerJoined: 2007

I have been in Health and Social Care since 1986, 39 years now. I started my journey working in a hospital environment for people who had physical and severe mental health disabilities. I then moved into a small home in the community, still working with adults who had these difficulties. I stayed in this field until 2000, that's when I found my passion for working with people living with Alzheimer's and other Dementias. I have worked managing very successful care homes since. I have furthered my knowledge and skills by completing my Registered Managers Award, NVQ Level 4 and my Diploma 5 in Health and Social Care. My passion is making a difference in the lives of people we care for and their families.

With over 20 years of experience across care, education, and the activity provision sector, and as a multi-award-winning professional, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with people living with their own unique needs and challenges, which has opened up a whole new world for me, one that is deeply interesting, endlessly inspiring, and incredibly rewarding. This role continues to teach me so much, and I feel truly honoured to support and connect with individuals at such a meaningful stage of life.

I have a deep passion for creating nutritious, delicious meals, and I bring a wealth of experience and a personal touch to every dish I prepare. I do my best to ensure that every meal is not only healthy but also enjoyable and tailored to the individual preferences and dietary needs of our residents. I believe that food is not just fuel; it’s an experience that should nourish both the body and the soul. In my role, I take great pride in preparing meals that bring comfort, joy, and a sense of home to our residents. Its important to listen and learn about residents' favourite foods and their preferences, offering a choice. Every dish is made with care, whether it's a favourite comfort food or something new to excite their taste buds. I am told by our team that sometimes the meals I spark conversations and fond memories of cooking or eating with their families. It’s actually heart-warming to hear how through cooking meals that the residents enjoy, I can contribute to making a difference and help with well being and memory.
