Job summary

The role;

As a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator working 32 hours per week, your role is to deliver a diverse range of activities that enhance residents’ physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. You will promote a culture that values privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and overall fulfilment for every resident.

Key responsibilities include gathering and understanding each resident’s life history, preferences, and individual needs by engaging with them and their families. This information will support the creation of detailed life stories and personalised activity plans. You will be responsible for developing a regular activities programme and maintaining regular documentation of meaningful engagement. 

You will organise and coordinate activities, events, and outings, encouraging participation from residents, staff, families, and visitors. Maintaining a safe, welcoming environment and contributing to a positive and professional image of the home are also essential aspects of the role. Maintaining our strong community links will also be an important part of the role. 

About You

To succeed in this position, you will demonstrate strong values of care, support, honesty, respect, and accountability.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with older adults, particularly within a residential nursing or dementia care setting

  • A background in planning and delivering activities and events

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • A compassionate and positive approach, with a genuine commitment to providing engaging, high-quality activities and social experiences.
