As Senior District Manager, you’ll lead a portfolio of five care homes, ensuring they deliver high-quality care, strong operational performance and outstanding places to live for older people. Acting as a trusted deputy to the Director of Care Services, you’ll help shape regional priorities and support the wider leadership team.
This is a highly influential role where you’ll combine operational leadership, quality oversight and people development to drive continuous improvement across services.
Key Responsabilities:
- Support Operational Performance: Provide strategic and operational leadership across your district of five care homes, ensuring services perform strongly against quality, financial and operational goals. You’ll work closely with District Managers, Regional Support Managers and Home Managers to share best practice and strengthen performance across the region.
- Quality, Safety and Compliance: Champion a culture of safe, high-quality, person-centred care. Ensure homes remain inspection-ready and fully compliant with CQC regulations, internal governance frameworks and sector best practice.
- Champion Resident Experience: Keep residents at the heart of every decision. You’ll oversee feedback, manage complex complaints or safeguarding concerns and support continuous improvements to resident experience.
- Drive Financial and Operational Success: Oversee budgets, resources and performance across your homes, using data and insight to improve occupancy, efficiency and resident satisfaction while maintaining exceptional care standards.
- Inspire, Coach & Develop: Coach and support Home Managers and leadership teams to deliver their best. You’ll promote engagement, support recruitment and retention, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Supporting the Director of Care Services: Support day-to-day operational activity, attend meetings when required and contribute to regional priorities and service development.
Who we’re looking for:
- Strong knowledge of care regulations, safeguarding, health & safety and quality frameworks.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and performance data.
- A compassionate, values-driven leader passionate about improving the lives of older people.
- Skilled at building relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Experienced in leading change and service improvement across multiple services.
- Resilient and adaptable, with the flexibility to travel regularly across the region.
