Join HC-One as an Area Director – Leading with Kindness and ImpactAs an Area Director, you will provide visible, supportive leadership to a group of Home Managers and Senior Home Managers, ensuring every home in your area delivers safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining stability, consistency, and excellence, helping managers lead their teams with confidence while residents receive the best possible experience every day.
You will take responsibility for the operational performance of homes in your area, working closely with managers to maintain high standards in care, compliance, and governance.
You will support, mentor, and develop your teams, helping them achieve outstanding outcomes for residents while building a positive, professional, and motivated workforce.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and inspire Home Managers and Senior Home Managers to deliver high-quality care and strong operational performance.
- Support and develop managers, providing guidance, mentoring, and practical leadership to build high-performing teams.
- Work with central support teams to ensure area targets and service-level agreements are met, while maintaining excellent standards across all homes.
- Build strong relationships with commissioners, partners, and the local community to strengthen HC-One’s reputation and ensure homes are the number one choice.
- Identify risks, quality gaps, or performance issues early, taking timely, proportionate action to maintain standards.
- Collaborate on each home’s business plan, translating strategy into action that benefits residents, colleagues, and the organisation.
You will be an experienced care professional with leadership and management experience, confident in supporting and developing others while maintaining oversight of quality and compliance. You will bring excellent organisational skills, calm and visible leadership, and a genuine commitment to improving lives for residents. Your approach will be supportive yet decisive, balancing operational demands with the wellbeing of both residents and colleagues.
