Overall Experience
We as a family are absolutely so pleased with how much our mum has transitioned from living in the family home bungalow and moving into Pytchley Court.
From day one when we made her room feel like 'home from home' she has been so content and has integrated so well with everything.

My sister and I had the guilt trip of moving our mum into a home. But we should not have worried as she has had a new lease of life and most importantly has had a new lease of life and most importantly her quality of life has improved tenfold and she is safe. The staff treat her so well and Pychley Court is without doubt one big happy family. I cannot thank everyone at the care home enough long may this loving care home continue.

I'd say 90% of the staff are fabulous and the care my FAther in law is getting it second to none. Unfortunately I feel 1 or 2 members of staff give you the impression that they don't want to be there. They make you feel as if they are doing you a favour and don't really care about the service user. Just my opinion, I spoke to a male member of staff, he completely ignored me and spoke to my husband as if I was beneath him. As I say 90% probably 95% of the staff are amazing.Sharon is fantastic with the service users and so are some of the young girls . Overall we are happy with the care, cleanliness and respect given

My mum went into Mugdock Care Home on the 2 July and whilst being absolutely sure it was the correct solution for my mum l was anxious as to how she would settle in. We visited the home and met with senior staff to discuss my mum's care and were very impressed with all aspects of the service. We followed the advice we were given on how we would leave my mum on the first day and visiting arrangements thereafter which allowed the staff to settle my mum into her new home.
To say that we are pleased with the service my mum is receiving would be an understatement. The staff have been amazing and very quickly learned to understand my mums likes and dislikes. The staff always take time to talk with us when we visit which is testament to the staff resident ratio and the staff 's professionalism.

My mum has settled in well , she takes part in many activities, has been out on a number of trips already. She is more settled and lost the anxiety she previously suffered from and put on weight.

The staff and home are excellent. It's a very happy place, spacious & light. The food is of an extremely high standard and is available whenever required. Cleanliness seems of paramount importance. The laundry service is also excellent & reliable.

I'm very pleased my Mum is here as she is very content & happy.

Overall Experience

Dad went to Brompton for palliative care. He had delirium and Alzheimer's and had spent 6 awful weeks in hospital. The staff at Brompton helped to make this a more manageable experience for Dad and the family, helping to facilitate visits and allowing my Mum to eat meals with Dad. Laundry, cleaning and catering services were excellent. The Manager was always ready to help with queries. Nursing and other care staff were kind and attentive.

The care dad has received since he arrived in May has been very good. All the staff know him by name and support him. He's starting to get involved in the activities and the staff have tailored some activities to fit his interests. Dad's getting mentally stimulated which is helping his health to improve

After suffering a stroke Mum came to Summerville in Oct 2023 & was treated like Royalty which she truly believed she was. From day one until her passing in July 2026 every care was given to her ongoing needs. A much family thanks from all.

Since my mum arrived at your care home the kindness, patience and professionalism received by my mum + the family has made such a difference. It's wonderful to see how well she has settled in and how comfortable she is in her new surroundings. Over the past few weeks we have noticed a real improvement in her mood and confidence. She is more relaxed and willing to interact with residents and staff. This has been very reassuring for us as a family, and we are grateful for the care and encouragement that has helped her reach this point. It is clear that she is being looked after with genuine warmth + respect, along with ourselves and that means a great deal to us. My mum came to Newlands in January 2025 for six weeks respite, after a week or two my mum realised it would be in the best interest to be a permanent resident and so we started the process for Mum to stay permanently at Newlands. The care Mum has received has been excellent the staff are the same staff still there in the 1st day mum came to stay, they treat her with dignity, compassion & love & my mum is very happy living at Newlands. There nursing care is excellent as well, very supportive & caring. I go regularly to visit my mum and I'm treated like part of the family, my mum sees this and again, makes her feel at easy and feels at home. There is always something going on, from bingo, a singer, nursery & infant visits, pamper day & days out. We are very happy mum is at Newlands

I have only wonderful things to say about Oaklands Care Home and the amazing staff who are currently looking after my mum who can be very challenging. How they handle her is amazing and if it's out of 10 I would give 11 without hesitation. I love visiting they are all very welcoming, and Mum often says she loves it here.

Highfield in Yarm is an extremely friendly residential home where every staff member regardless of their specific duties provides outstanding care and support.

Our mum is treated with dignity and respect and even though she is not keen to engage with other residents or be involved in social and group activities, her wishes are always considered.

What can I say it was home from home for my brother; he was there for 9 days while I was on holiday, he loved it there. Staff friendly & helpful, Food great variety and my brother is fussy but no complaints from him. Will use again if possible.

Wonderful event to celebrate the Diamond Anniversary of 2 residents. Family, friends and residents were entertained by 2 lovely singers then enjoyed tea & cake. Staff were very helpful & decorated the dining room. Great Celebration!
