My grandmother has been in Kirkby house for 2 years and I can honestly say we couldn't pick a better home for her. The staff, the atmosphere and just everything about it is outstanding. I know my nan is in the best care and she is so happy there. The place is always immaculate and the staff are on hand
with any needs of the residents. Residents are treated with dignity and respect every time I have ever visited the home. I would honestly recommend Kirkby house to everyone I ever meet. Our family will forever be grateful for what they do for my nan.

Our mum, who recently passed away, was only a resident of Broadoak Manor care home for eight months, but during that time she received wonderful care from the dedicated staff on the Stapley Unit. Her mental and physical health deteriorated quickly last year following hip surgery after a fall, and we
had to accept that she needed to move into a nursing home. We were never in doubt that we found the right one for her, and we are so grateful to all the staff for their patience and kindness.

Mum came for respite and I was concerned she would not settle as she has always been a private person. However Mum has settled and become permanent at the home. She is settled and seems happy. Mum loves the ducks and garden and seems very happy with the staff and is chatting to the other residents.
Thanks for looking after Mum.

Kirkby House is amazing, I never wanted Mum to get to a point of moving to care but unfortunately could not stay at home. Since moving to Kirkby House she is so happy, staff are amazing, I could not have asked for more for my mum. Mum is living her best life, she loves the activities, the singers, and
loves dancing. She loves Kirkby House so much. Thank you for looking after Mum!

I am a resident who's garden backs onto Dale Parks rear carpark, there was some overgrown ivy that had grown over my fence and onto my shed, I mentioned it to the manageress who swiftly arranged for landscapers to cut it all down and remove the branches from my fence, the job was completed and all waste
removed to our satisfaction, Thanks again to the fantastic manageress and Dale Park itself for a great service

My mum came to Kirkby House in October 2025, at first was daunting for her but the staff are so caring and nothing is too much trouble that my mum and us daughters now call Kirkby House staff our 2nd family. We know our mum is so cared for and we can approach staff anytime. Our mum loves all the staff
so that makes a massive difference and helps us as a family too.

Thanks to all the staff at Kirkby House for welcoming my sister into your home from home. When I go to see her she is always happy. It's lovely to see her walking around with one of her many friends she has made. The staff are lovely, welcoming, and also happy, upbeat, and friendly atmosphere, not sad.
I would highly recommend Kirkby House.

Care and nursing staff were always friendly and welcoming, after an 8 month stay sadly we lost our mum, the care, dedication, patience and kindness shown to not only my mum but to us as her family were almost exceptional, residents should still be allowed freedom of choice at meal or snack times, hostess
and staff should not make the decisions, crash mats on frail, risk residents, should be a prioritised better, overall excellent experience. Thank you so much. Management needs to communicate with family far better than they do.

Roby Lodge Care Home

from J H (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 April 2026

Overall Experience 3.0 out of 5
My dad was admitted to Roby Lodge for respite care. He was treated with kindness, care and dignity. Unfortunately this was the wrong environment for someone with mild dementia, but I cannot fault the care given, especially to the residents with advanced dementia. Also unfortunately, a lot of his clothes
went missing, and his brand new T.V got broken. I do not think my dad was happy in this environment and started showing signs of low mood until we moved him.
Reply from Julie Caygill, Hospital Liaison Team Administrator at Roby Lodge Care HomeThank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. We are sorry that Roby Lodge was not the right setting for your father. We understand how important it is to find an environment which meets each persons needs and we regret this was not your experience. Regarding the television, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention; this was reported to our maintenance operative at the time and when checked, it was no longer in the room. We wish your father and you well.

Nan went in for respite for 2 weeks and ended up staying full time. She has said nothing but good things about Mossview and she can't fault the home in any way. The rest of the family agree that the home is clean, tidy and a pleasant place to be. On a number of occasions we have been visiting the home,
there has been activities going on and all of the elderly residents are eager to participate and they all seem very happy at Mossview. Nothing seems like any trouble to the staff here. Nan's room is very homely and always clean and tidy. Overall, Mossview is a great home and I would recommend to anyone seeking a high level of care for their loved ones.

The care your team showed my cousin Anthony during his time with you but especially when he was dying was exemplary and went far beyond the call of duty or any remuneration they may receive. It displayed the highest levels of human love and decency.

My nan has been at Fazakerley House for over two years now and I couldn't praise the staff enough for the care they give to her and the kindness they have shown to me. The care that is given is second to none, the staff are all patient, understanding and kind. The home has a family feel to it and nothing
is too much to ask of the staff. The home is spotlessly clean and has a lot of activities for the residents as well as days out. All the staff at Fazakerley House are a credit to the home and the care industry and I hope their hard work doesn't go unrecognised.
