It's a lovely, friendly and welcoming place. They have lots of activities going on. The gardens are lovely, and at special events like Christmas, Easter, etc., they decorate the home so beautifully. The staff are very helpful too.

I contacted Hawthorn Court after a recommendation from a district nurse.
I was contacted by a lovely member of staff, who was very helpful and informative. My father has been here for a few weeks, and the staff are wonderful. They make him laugh and keep regular checks on him for all his needs.
He
is happy and content, loves his room, and the food is tremendous.
Great home, staff, care, can't fault anything.

We arrived at Hawthorn Court to a lovely welcome from the reception staff and some carers who were busy attending to residents. There was a lovely, happy feel about the place. My mum-in-law was feeling quite shaky after a long wait in the hospital and the ambulance journey, but the senior carer put
her at ease straight away. We were shown to her room, which was very cosy with a lovely view over the rear gardens. She is really enjoying her stay. The staff are very caring and make sure she is included in the activities/entertainment. The housekeeping staff are very friendly and keep the home very clean and tidy. Good choice of home for our mam.

The family's experience from a manager coming to mums home to meet her till her passing on April 15th 2026, was outstanding. Mum's mental health had deteriorated at home, and within a few weeks, she was herself again; she had friends, activities, responsibilities, and independence with such overwhelming
support. We as a family could not ask for any more. It was her family home from home.

After almost 5 months of being at Redesdale my wife, who was declining fairly rapidly, entered the final days of her life at Redesdale. The change from the normal good support to end-of-life care following assessment by professional nursing/medical staff was swift and efficient, conducted with understanding
and kindness to my wife and also to me as I frequently visited. There is no comparison in how she ended her life in the wonderful care and familiar surroundings at Redesdale compared to a hospital, and I am so pleased she did not have to move out.

My dad is well cared for here. The staff are lovely. The home is always clean and doesn't smell at all. The food is home cooked. The staff make sure there's something going on weekly and often take residents out if they wish. I feel really happy with my dad living here.

I have my parents in this care home. I can not speak highly enough of any member of staff. The care my parents are receiving is amazing. I am blown away by it, if its house keeping or management they "just care" my dad is currently on end of care life, not only do they make sure he is comfortable, they

Redesdale Court is a wonderful care, supporting many elderly individuals. The level of care us excellent, providing individuals a high level of personal care. I feel over the last year management and the level of activities have increased/improved - not that poor, but so many extras now available. Rooms
are well kept, clean and vert spacious, keeping the rooms clean, can be a big task, given needs of individuals. There is always options for meals, and specifics of catered for. Food is well presented, and there are special events often held to celebrate specific events. Absolutely no concerns regarding safety of individuals. Given the nature of tasks, there can be a turnover of staff but staff are good.

Mum has just moved into Hawthorn Court. The transition, although difficult for Mum, has been made very easy.
Staff are all very friendly and courteous. Mum is very engaged as lots of activities going on.

Had experience of Hawthorn Court with a previous relative and was always and still am very impressed with the cleanliness, nice atmosphere and very pleasant and caring staff. There always seems to be some activity when we come to visit, great ideas to stimulate the residents (great pictures and videos
on social media). My sister in law settled in straight away when she came in and always tells us how happy she is here. PS, her room is lovely.
