My mum was admitted to Ashgrove Care Home from hospital in October 2023 for end of life care. Within a short time Mum was eating and drinking more and sitting in the lounge. Now in August 2025, we have celebrated her 102nd Birthday, thanks to the love and care she has been given by the wonderful Ashgrove
family. Thank you.

From our first impression of viewing and now being 6 months on from our aunt living at Alexander Care Home, I feel it is a genuinely welcoming and caring atmosphere. She has settled in better than we could have ever hoped. We are regularly updated on how she is and any concerns or issues. The staff
have got to know her well to pick up on any problems quickly. She enjoys the activities and entertainment, and also her privacy, whilst still being in a safe environment. She seems content, which gives us peace of mind.

The care in this home is substandard. DONT bring your loved ones here. Most of the staff are very rude or glued to their phones. My father in law is left in his room like a prisoner. Since his arrival here he has become very depressed, lonely & sad. He has also lost his mobility completely due to lack
of physio, care and interaction. We have asked on numerous occasions for him to taken out into the garden which is a nice space and down to the dining room which has never happened. Water, books and necessary items out of reach, food just put in front of them and left. The room is not cleaned properly and for the past week no buzzer. To be fair, the staff ignore them most of the time anyway which is very worrying. The other day a buzzer was sounding for over an hour with no response. He was given supper which consisted of stale bread saturated in butter. I also found a hair in his food whilst feeding him. Managers always avoid returning calls or emails. Looking to move him. No leadership.

My father enjoys his residency at Aspen Court. His dementia needs means that he needs constant care, and this is something that the staff have provided with care and compassion. Normally, my father is not interested in group activities, but the staff at Aspen Court ensure that he takes part and that
he always has a smile on his face.

My father spent his final weeks at this care home and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Every member of staff treated him with compassion, respect, and genuine warmth. The care team created a calm, supportive environment that brought comfort not only to him but also to us as a family.
From daily care to thoughtful little touches, the attention and professionalism shown were deeply appreciated. We also found the support staff and facilities to be excellent. We are incredibly grateful for everything the team did and will always remember the kindness shown during such a difficult time.

From the first moment to the last, everyone (staff) have been unbelievable, kind and caring with such understanding of everyone's needs. The care for my neighbour (and I was there most days) was to a level that even I couldn't believe, the staff and management deserve a lot of credit for the way they
go about their daily tasks to ensure patient and visitors are well cared for. Thank you for everything.

My Mum recently moved into Alexander Care Home and received a very warm welcome. The Management team and all of the staff are kind, caring and professional towards my Mum. I visit her once or twice weekly, receiving a warm welcome myself, and have seen a change in her overall happiness, well being and
confidence. On a recent visit my Mum and I sat in the garden and I was pleased to notice an improvement in her mobility. My Mum looks well, was laughing with the staff, is starting to make friends and encouraged to join in with some of the activities. I feel confident my Mum is receiving the best care I could wish for giving me peace of mind.

I was visiting my mother on the 03/05/2025. I went around and looked at pictures for VE Day. I'm not sure who done them, I was amazed at all the effort she put into everything for all the residents. The posters and decorations, both inside and out were second to none. This person is absolutely amazing
