Very helpful when we were trying to organise Respite Care - all went smoothly with booking snd the weeks care itself. Manager came for a home visit and was really warm and friendly. Staff were helpful when we had problems with TV.

My Aunt was taken to this carehome with stage 4 cancer. From the beginning all the staff were helpful & welcoming they provided my aunt with everything her condition required, ie a bed to stop sores etc. All staff there were kind & cheerful. I can't thank them enough. My aunt passed yesterday with dignity & kindness.

Couldn't fault them at all. Would recommend.

Knowing Mum is so well cared for is such peace of mind for us.

Although dad was only in Shelton Lock Care Home for 11 weeks and never left his bed. He was always clean, comfortable and well looked after. All the staff were very kind and got to know his wants and needs quickly. Nothing we asked for was too much trouble. We couldn't have asked for better care for him.

From the moment we stepped into Shelton Lock Care Home, we knew it was the one for us. All the staff are very caring and take pride in all they do. Nothing is too much trouble. I would say that they treat all residents like their own family. We have nothing but praise for them and thank them for looking after our dad so well.

Unfortunately my neighbour had a stroke so ended up needing nursing care and couldn't remain at home. He has been so well looked after and seems really settled. The staff are all amazing along with the domestics all so friendly and welcoming nothing is too much trouble. Thank you to you all.

Outside staff for blood tests etc. should be chased to attend the home quicker!

We chose to bring my dad here for end of life care. Prior to choosing this place, my mum and I dropped in unannounced on a Sunday. They were absolutely wonderful and although we had other care homes to look at, we instantly knew we had found the best place for Dad. He sadly passed away after a short time, but we couldn't have asked for a better nursing home. The staff are so, so kind, and they couldn't do enough for us. My mum, sister, brother and I were there a lot for Dad's last few days and the staff were so supportive and thoughtful. We simply could not recommend this place enough. It is also in a lovely setting and it's a shame Dad was too ill to see the beautiful views. All the staff are brilliant and we will be forever thankful for their kindness and the way they went above and beyond. I don't know how they do the job they do. They are all very special people and we are very grateful to them for looking after Dad with such care and compassion. Exceptional care home.

From the day our mum moved into Bankwood to the day she passed, our mother was treated and cared for with the utmost respect, care and dignity. The cleanliness and family atmosphere is amazing and attention to detail is first class. Despite her at times challenging behaviour, the staff were always dedicated, cared and supported us throughout some difficult situations which were always handled with professionalism and kindness. We were always welcomed with a cheery smile and were made to feel welcome. Thank you to everyone at Bankwood for everything, it means the world to us.

There are organized activities, craft and music events throughout the week.

I wouldn't want my mum to be anywhere else. It's her home now.

My mum was admitted from acute hospital , on arrival she and us (daughters) were made very welcome by all staff. My sister and myself had been to visit to look around the day before , staff were very welcoming and we had a tour of the home , we chose a room which we knew our mum would like . Since her admission we visit most days and the staff are always friendly, professional and respectful to all residents and visitor's. The verity of meals is great, plenty of choice , the home is warm, clean and comfortable, I feel that the staff are all approachable and accommodating. We agree that this very difficult and emotional time has been made much easier by the support of the staff and this is a true reflection of our experience up to now.

The rooms are delightful throughout the home.

We could not have wished for a more peaceful and dignified end for mum.

Bankwood Care Home have been magnificent during my Mum's last few months with us. She has been so well looked after. The staff are all friendly, courteous, helpful, kind and compassionate. I have also been looked after by them, during Mum's final days and subsequently. I could not have asked for better care for Mum (who had late stage Parkinson's). A wonderful place, with a wonderful view, and with wonderful people at the heart of it.

The staff really look after my mum ensuring she has everything she needs and keeping me well informed of her health issues.
