Overall Experience

The care dad has received since he arrived in May has been very good. All the staff know him by name and support him. He's starting to get involved in the activities and the staff have tailored some activities to fit his interests. Dad's getting mentally stimulated which is helping his health to improve

The staff have always been friendly, caring and respectful towards my mum and family.
They ensure that mum joins in all the activities, eat well and feels safe and secure.
Overtime the staff have got to know mum's likes and dislikes and are able to spot early if she is starting to be unwell and respond quickly.

I would be happy to recommend Willow Court.

Willow court staff ,carers seniors cleaners continue to come up trumps every time. My father who has many needs is cared for beyond my expectations. He has been a resident for over 4 years now . He is continually monitored and medication adjusted perfectly.

I can honestly say He is in the best place for his needs. So I am very thankful to all the staff involved.

Overall Experience
Dad has been at Willow Court for over a year now and has settled extremely well. The staff have taken time to get to know him and his ways. They are very pragmatic in their approach as Dad can sometimes be stubborn about his wants and needs. The staff manage him well and he is never .'pushed' to do something he doesn't want to do. I have seen nothing but care and compassion by the staff. His care is administered and planned with his best interests at the forefront.
Communication is good.
Meals are good.
Occasionally if I have asked for his floor to have an additional clean if he spills his drinks or been incontinent this has been done promptly.

Willow Court is most definitely Dad's safe space! I am more than happy with his care.

Overall Experience

Overall experience at Willow Court is great. There have been noticeable positive improvements since the new manager has been here at the home. The staff are very friendly, helpful and kind to the residents. If I have ever had an issue which has needed to be discussed and resolved, I always find that it is easy to approach the relevant person and have a conversation. Overall, very happy with Mum residing here.

After having my dad at Altham Court, I would just like to say they made dad very welcome and great care to his last remaining time of his life. It was the hardest thing I had to do was put my dad in a care home, but I can honestly say the staff were fantastic, caring, patient and understanding for my dad's wishes.

Review of Willow Court Care Home from Rosemarie S (Daughter of Resident) published on 1 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My Mum recently spent four weeks in respite at Willow Court.
The good things
The staff were friendly and always on the go.
The food looked appetizing
The room, although small, was clean and well kept
The residents' lounge was cosy with lots of comfy looking chairs
The not so good things
Mum was left in her wheelchair, despite having the ability, with assistance, to transfer to a comfortable chair
Instructions were not followed regarding elevation of Mum's legs when sat, despite this being mentioned on admission and again 2 days later.
No communication was made to me as POA prior to a new medication being iintroduced to Mum'
s suite of drugs. This drug has now been stopped by regular GP.
On the day I collected her, my Mum smelt strongly of stale urine.

One thing that I would like to see the home address is, the attaching of an laminated A4 sheet of paper with the resident's name on to the side of the wheelchair. I thought this undignified. Surely something more discreet could be used?

Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. We were happy to hear of your positive experience with staff, food and the environment but it is unfortunate you left without resolution to your concerns. If you would like to contact the home to discuss the issues raised, we would be happy to investigate these for you and provide reassurance.

I cannot thank the team enough for the love and care whilst my father was at Altham Court.
My father was in for end of life care and the staff treated him with great compassion and dignity, whilst simultaneously ensuring that we, his family, were also supported.

I highly recommend Altham Court, Lincoln. Many thanks.

Can't praise the home enough for the care and kindness of all the staff. The home is kept immaculate. All the residents seem happy and I know my father is very happy in the home. The staff from top to bottom are professional, kind and always smiling. The care they provide for my father is second to none. They have several events every month and send a monthly newsletter out to keep you up to date.

Review of The Gardens Care Home from simon K (Brother of Resident) published on 6 March 2026 Submitted via Website

My 96 year old sister has been placed in this care home after a fall. She does have some memory issues and can on occasions be verbally aggressive and insulting. I have visited her on numerous occasions since she has been in the Home.
My first impressions were of an extremely clean and tidy care home with no smells associated with some I have visited.
The staff have all without exception been very helpful and understanding and observing them going about their duties show a commitment to the residents. That can only be driven by the requirements and checking by senior hands on staff.
Yesterday 3rd March was my sisters birthday and will be one she and I will remember. The staff had produced a birthday cake and presents. In the lounge the other residents gathered and a singer arrived for a singalong. Everyone enjoyed themselves and of course the singing and those able dancing gave exercise.

I have visited friends in various nursing homes and this one is without a doubt the finest.

My brother has been in a few homes now, and this is by far the best one yet. It's all decorated nicely, the staff are fabulous and really approachable. My brother looks more relaxed than he has for a long time.

Thank you all so much for all your time and attention.

Our brother has stayed in several care homes over the last few years.
None has met his needs as well as Altham Court. He is settled, feels safe, and the staff are caring, cheerful and friendly.

Frequent medication is given in a timely manner, and we simply couldn't wish for better for him.

Mum feels when she presses her call button it takes a long time for a response, sometimes the care staff are quick to dismiss her - maybe they dont understand what she is asking and don't take the time to find out.

Would like to see more proactivity rather than reactivity.

My mothers impression of the home was not positive at first as some of the night staff were rather heavy handed, for example. Physically feeling her groin to see if she had wetted herself, cleaning away and losing a puzzle book, not being able to adjust the heat in the room. However the management has listened to my info on these matters and things are a lot better.

My dad has been at Elmwood for a couple of years. He really enjoys the entertainment and the staff help get him get involved, they are very supportive and helpful.
I have piece of mind knowing he's looked after and they contact me if his illness/condition flares up so I can add additional support to him.
He now classes the staff as his little family and he is very happy.

Downside is kitchen do not cater 100% for specific dietary requirements.
