My brother has been in a few homes now, and this is by far the best one yet. It's all decorated nicely, the staff are fabulous and really approachable. My brother looks more relaxed than he has for a long time.
Thank you all so much for all your time and attention.

Our brother has stayed in several care homes over the last few years.
None has met his needs as well as Altham Court. He is settled, feels safe, and the staff are caring, cheerful and friendly.
Frequent medication is given in a timely manner, and we simply couldn't wish for better for him.

Mum feels when she presses her call button it takes a long time for a response, sometimes the care staff are quick to dismiss her - maybe they dont understand what she is asking and don't take the time to find out.
Would like to see more proactivity rather than reactivity.

My mothers impression of the home was not positive at first as some of the night staff were rather heavy handed, for example. Physically feeling her groin to see if she had wetted herself, cleaning away and losing a puzzle book, not being able to adjust the heat in the room. However the management has
listened to my info on these matters and things are a lot better.

The care my father receives is second to none. It is a pleasure ti visit him and see him happy and relaxed.
If there is ever a concern or a need, the management + staff contact me in good time. His room is decorated very nicely and is kept clean and tidy.
He couldn't be in a better place in my opinion,
Thank you.

My dad has been at Elmwood for a couple of years. He really enjoys the entertainment and the staff help get him get involved, they are very supportive and helpful.
I have piece of mind knowing he's looked after and they contact me if his illness/condition flares up so I can add additional support to
him.
He now classes the staff as his little family and he is very happy.
Downside is kitchen do not cater 100% for specific dietary requirements.
Reply from Julie Caygill, Hospital Liaison Team Administrator at Elmwood House Care HomeDear Clare,
Thank you for the feedback about your dad's experience at Elmwood - it helps us identify areas for improvement. It's good to hear that he enjoys the activities and feels well supported by the staff. We do note your comments regarding catering for specific dietary requirements and are sorry that this has not been fully met. Please feel free to speak with us on your next visit so we can discuss your concerns further.

My friend spent around 4 weeks on end of life care in Altham Court. She had no family, so her friends visited her regularly, including myself.
They gave her a wonderful experience, all staff were friendly and cheerful and proud of their work environment. I was given a full tour of the facilities during
one visit, including where I could make a hot drink for us. The tea and coffee trolley was a highlight, with visitors being offered refreshment too. The staff were wonderful.

The staff at Altham Court are friendly and efficient, taking time to get to know their residents. In the words of my friend living in the home, 'nothing is ever too much trouble'. The rooms are comfortable, and residents are encouraged to personalise them with their own possessions, photos, ornaments,
etc. The meals are varied and tasty, and residents (and their visitors) are well looked after with regular refreshments and treats. The staff at Altham Court helped make a difficult situation positive.

Overall I have found the Carers and Management including service personal at The Gardens Care home very kind, caring, helpful and efficient in what they do. It was the Local Council, some 18 months ago, who placed Mum in this Care Home for her own safety whilst I was away which at first was hard for
me to accept but having visited the Care many times I am 100% satisfied that she is in the right place. I feel she is safe in a warm friendly environment and I know she is happy, and content, which means so very much to me and my family.

My Mum has been in this home since January 2025, I am pleased to say I cannot fault anything about this home the staff are so caring and compassionate, the cleanliness of the home is brilliant and the Nursing care is very good. The Staff listen to what the family have to say and encourage us to speak
to them about all aspects of Mums needs including her dietary habits as they say we know her better than anyone so encourage communication.
So pleased we found this home.

My father has been in Elmwood for just over 3 years now and have found it to be one of the better care homes in the Boston area.
I have, over recent years visited other relatives in surrounding areas to which by far, Elmwood house excels itself in all areas.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking
to seek a clean, modern, caring home in a happy environment.

Elmwood House provides outstanding care. It is a very friendly and caring family orientated care home which provides excellent entertainment from craft workshops, gardening clubs, seated exercise classes, sing-a-long sessions plus musicians/singers performing live to the residents. This is such a special
place to be and each resident feels very special on their birthday as the chef bakes a homemade cake and banners and balloon set the scene, how nice is that. There is something for everyone including the residents family to enjoy. The staff are all amazing and highly trained in what they do.nothing is too much trouble. The residents regularly go outside and are taken round the gorgeous grounds, including the fishpond. The flowerbeds are beautiful and if you are lucky you will see the odd squirrel or duck. My mum is well looked after and you can see that in her smile. She always looks, clean and tidy. I wouldn't want mum anywhere else. Thank you team Elmwood for everything you do.

Elmwood House Care home is a lovely care home that puts the residents first. It is certainly a home from home.
The staff are all very friendly and care for each resident on an individual basis, getting to know their likes and dislikes.
As a relative the staff are very friendly towards us and are
always willing to listen to any concerns and will act on our concerns straight away.
The nurses are very proactive and conscientious which is really reassuring. They know each resident which I feel is very important to understand their health needs.
The manager will always make herself available discuss any concerns and respond positively.
It gives us peace of mind knowing my mother-in-law being so well looked after.

Mum not yet moved in but will be shortly. On our two visits all staff, including maintenance teams have been friendly, polite , reassuring and helpful.
They have reassured me, as well as mum, that she will be well looked after and cared for.
There was a good feeling to the place as soon as we walked
in.
I feel.happy knowing that once mum has moved in I won't have to worry about ringing her, getting no answer and wondering what has gone wrong

Mum has been in the care of the staff of the Gardens for 2 1/2 years. Every member of staff, from management to house keeping show so much care and dedication to providing the support she needs. I cannot express my thanks to them enough. What was the most difficult decision we ever had to make was the

My mother has been a resident for 2 1/2 years, I live abroad and visit 3 times a year. I see every time a change in her dementia, which is continually assessed and dealt with appropriately by staff. She is always clean and well looked after, she is happy and the staff have a good relationship with her
and know her needs. She responds to the staff well and enjoys various activities that are provided. Her physical health needs are dealt with promptly and appropriately and we are kept updated at the time. I am very happy with all aspects of the home and staff and thank them for their care.
