The staff at Kings Park are caring and supportive. We are always welcomed with a smiley face. Mum moved into the home 3 months ago and we are very pleased with the care she receives. The personal touches really make a difference. The environment is clean and fresh. Often the lounge and corridors are
decorated on occasions. Staff always ring me with updates, which I am very grateful for. I hope the current level of care continues in the future.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Mum lived at Fir Trees for the last few years before she passed in Feb.
After some challenging times in previous locations we finally found a place where she wasn't just treated as a resident she was part of the family. We knew she was safe, and happy. The team put the residents first in everything,
we were kept up to date about things. Her room was lovely and always clean, the facilities were excellent.
When it was close to the end the team were so supportive of us, and it was clear they genuinely cared about her.
I cannot thank them enough for making her last few years so happy even with her challenges.

My father was admitted in July 25 and mother December 25. Both were made very welcome and comfortable in their rooms. Both have different needs and the staff have catered for these while keeping them close together as they have been married for almost 76 years. The activities are varied and most interests
are catered for. My parents, as are the family, delighted with the care given to our parents.

De Brook Lodge

Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
This carehome was recommended by a work colleague and on visiting we had the opportunuty to chat with other resident family members and this cemented our choice. Initially mum's stay was for respite but she was struggling to live independantly and needed daily care and assistance. Mum was made to feel
welcome by everyone and so very quickly settled in and decided she would like to be a permanent resident! I highly recommend this care home. Mum has made new friends and enjoys a rich variety of social activities. Our experience so far is communication is a clear strength, nothing is too much trouble, everyone is approachable and helpful, management and all staff alike are friendly and kind. Above all, mum is treated with dignity and respect and this homely environment has already positively impacted mum's general health and well being. We are delighted she is much more her old self again! Thank you to everyone for their ongoing kindness to mum and our family. It really is heart warming.

WOW !! What a blessing this find was, my dad was in here recently for a week he is 99 but totally compos mentis and very set in his ways he lives at home with me and our family and is use to a high (if i say so myself) level of care and has specific needs. He would never go into respite or a care
home but due to a bad 7 weeks and it effecting my health he agreed to go for a week. When I went to collect him he didn't want to leave.
I don't need to mention names because everyone there was lovely to him and kind and respectful and looked after him so well. I rang a couple of times and he always sounded so happy and content and he can't wait to go back again. If he rates this care home 10/10 then it really is 10/10!

Mum has dementia, she moved into the home a couple of weeks ago. From day one all the staff have been really good with her, always checking on her making sure she doesn't need anything. Room is kept clean and has everything she needs. Staff always on hand if I have any questions about mum. Mum spends
her time in her room so maybe in time she will join in activities needed.

We chose this care home back in March 2024 because of friendliness of the staff and welcome we received. It was clear then and still now how the residents are cared for and the activities they plan create an environment where the residents can join in. Our mum really enjoys the Friday afternoon singer
where with the family members creates a lovely atmosphere.
I would definitely recommend this home and it is certainly worth a visit.
