Highgate Care Home

Mum initially went into care for respite and to review her care needs, but this ended up coinciding with my dad passing away.
The staff have been fabulous settling her into the home and supporting her through the transition to living there permanently, as it transpired she needed 24/7 care.
Initially,
she looked a bit bewildered, but now she is constantly smiling and participates in all the activities.
The team at Highgate have made a very challenging time for us all much easier.

My mother-in-law went into Highgate when my father-in-law died. This was a very stressful time for my wife and all the family.
The staff have been brilliant. They have helped my M-I-L settle. She is constantly occupied, and the staff know exactly how to support her when she has a wobble.
Knowing
she is safe and happy is such a relief to us all.

Since my mother-in-law moved into the care home, we have been delighted with the standard of care that she has received. The staff have been amazing in helping her to settle in. They are so attentive and there are always different activities for her to engage in. The difference in her since she has
arrived has been great. The social media page is also brilliant for getting to see what is going on and for updates.

My mum has been well looked after ever since she arrived. Staff are so nice to her and also very nice to me and my wife when we visit. I couldn't ask for any more in regards to my mum's care. I would recommend the care home to anyone who wishes to use it.

We have been very impressed with the standard of care at Highgate Care Home. The residents are obviously very well cared for with entertainment, outings, and good meals served with a choice of food, also regular tea breaks. The rooms for residents are very comfortable, nicely furnished with en suite
bathrooms and a television. Residents are able to please themselves, whether to stay in the lounges with large TVs, or reside in their own rooms. All in all, very comfortable.

My mum has been in respite care for the last 6 months, which has been a complete change for both my mum, dad and our family. From day one of arriving at Highgate Care Home. My mum and all of us have been treated exceptionally. The care my mum is given daily exceeds anything that we could of hoped for.
The staff are a credit to the home and are compassionate, friendly and treat all the residents like their own parents. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone at the home, and there is so much flexibility. My mum enjoys the variety of entertainment and loves to get involved.

This review is on behalf of my father. He has been in respite care since January, and I have found all aspects of his care to be first-class. From management to the office staff and care workers - they all show compassion and genuine interest in my dad.
The activity coordinator is great and brings
a purpose to the day for my dad, and he enjoys her company.

My mother was sent into respite care at Highgate, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. It brings great peace of mind to know how well looked after she has been. The staff are excellent, great with my mum and very friendly and helpful. The care home itself is very clean and tidy. The food and activities
for residents is excellent. I honestly do not have a bad word to say about this care home and cannot recommend them highly enough.

My mother has been in the care home for 3 years now and has been well looked after by staff. I feel the food is a bit questionable often cold or overcooked. I would like a bit more feedback I've been told they would email photos but this has never happened. Overall very happy with service provided.

I have attended at the care home at various times and days and have always found the care given to all residents to be exemplary. There is always some form of entertainment and the activities are engaging and stimulating for all residents. Family members are welcome at any time and receive excellent
support from staff. My mother is always clean and tidy, as is her bedroom.
