This was my first visit to the care home and the first time I have seen my aunt since she came to the care home one month ago. I was struck by how well she was looking physically. She had also been dressed lovely and had her hair done and her jewellery on. Staff warmly welcomed us and gave us small updates on how she was settling in which was very reassuring. We were advised of what activities were taking place today and were shown the cafeteria where we plan to take her on our next visit. Every member of staff acknowledged us and offered us a greeting. In particular Faith and Anne Marie and Janine took time to talk with us. I loved the staff name badges and the personalised doorways to patient rooms. I was really impressed.

Cleanliness was perfect and the whole ambience was quiet but busy. Mary is still a bit unsure but looks great, eats well and loves all the social events especially the singing and dancing. We have been very impressed with the standard of care at Highgate Care Home. The residents are obviously very well cared for with entertainment, outings, and good meals served with a choice of food, also regular tea breaks. The rooms for residents are very comfortable, nicely furnished with en suite bathrooms and a television. Residents are able to please themselves, whether to stay in the lounges with large TVs, or reside in their own rooms. All in all, very comfortable.

My mum and all of us have been treated exceptionally. The care my mum is given daily exceeds anything that we could of hoped for. The staff are a credit to the home and are compassionate, friendly and treat all the residents like their own parents. My mother was sent into respite care at Highgate, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. It brings great peace of mind to know how well looked after she has been. The staff are excellent, great with my mum and very friendly and helpful. The care home itself is very clean and tidy. The food and activities for residents is excellent. I honestly do not have a bad word to say about this care home and cannot recommend them highly enough.
