Highgate Care Home, situated in the peaceful residential area of Uddington, supports older people to lead their best lives with personalised nursing and nursing dementia care.

Highgate recently underwent an extensive refurbishment programme which transformed communal areas including dining rooms, lounges/day rooms, reception area, bathrooms and corridors. Highgate has a host of places in which to relax, dine, exercise, socialise and be creative and the pretty landscaped sensory garden and patio is the perfect spot to spend time with friends and family.

From care assistants and nurses, to wellbeing coordinators and chefs, each and every member of the professional care team is there to assist you or your loved one in settling into the home. With a wealth of knowledge and experience in the care sector, the home manager leads the team to ensure residents are supported to lead their best lives at Highgate.

The catering team at Highgate understands the nutritional needs of older people and creates delicious meals to ensure a lovely dining experience for all residents and visitors. My Mum stayed here whilst I went on holiday. We were dubious how this would be but the staff are wonderful. She said the food was great and she met some other residents, one of whom she became quite friendly with. Mums room was always clean and tidy as was she. The rest of the home is also very well
kept. The weather was good so Mum was able to spend time in the garden. Overall our experience was very good and I would recommend this home.

I brought my mum along to visit her neighbour who is now resident in your care home. Security is spot on making it safe that residents cannot wander out with the home putting themselves in danger. We were greeted by friendly staff who located Mum's friend, she was attending a sing along party afternoon,
we could see the staff interacting with the residents and dancing with those who were able to do so , it was lovely to see. We sat in a residents sitting area and coffee and tea was served and we were very glad to be included! We were very impressed with the home which has a lovely garden area to the rear and also the frontage of the building is very welcoming. The staff are top notch making the residents feel at home and treated with care and dignity which was so lovely to see.

After a very difficult, lengthy hospital stay, we made the very difficult decision that our mum required 24-hour care. After viewing other care homes, we opted for Highgate for a number of reasons, and we have not been disappointed the improvement in our mum was amazing. All her immediate needs were
met within week one, and after months in a hospital bed, she was on her feet. The staff have all been great, so helpful and communicate very well.

I am a regular visitor to Highgate Care Home and have always found the staff to be very helpful and cheery, despite the fact that they always seem busy. I am very happy with my father's treatment and he seems to enjoy the interaction with the staff. I have also noted that whenever I visit, my father
is always in a clean condition. And tells me that he looks forward to meal times. I see no problems whatsoever.

Staff are very welcoming, caring and patient. Plenty of interaction with residents and frequent activities. Good communication with family and staff to get to know the residents personally.
The room is always fresh and tidy. Father had been in a different care home, and Highgate is better in every
way. Nice to see no high turnover of staff. Lovely, friendly atmosphere, all residents seem to be pretty settled.

Highgate is a good environment for my mum. She always seems very content when we visit, and the staff seem to know how to make her smile. A lot better than the care home my dad was in. She gets days out and I am always informed when that will be. My mum is happy as she can be, so that makes me happy.

I cannot recommend Highgate Care Home more highly. A five-star review given with no hesitation. Mum's care is simply the best - the staff are superb - every member of staff has Mum as centre to everything they do for her. Of perhaps equal importance, they are so supportive and caring of us as relatives

My mum has been in here since September 2024, and has come on leaps and bounds. She was in her bed for 6 months and is now sitting in the day room joining in with activities. She enjoys the entertainment that they put on, usually something weekly. As the staff couldn't be more helpful and keep us updated
with everything, they all put 100% into their jobs and also getting to know mums likes and dislikes.

I volunteer at Highgate Care Home after my mum has been a resident there. There were numerous events organised during December in the lead up to Christmas, panto's Christmas parties and a visit from Santa on Christmas Day, which the residents loved.
