Highgate Care Home

After reviewing six other care homes, my sister and I were in total agreement that Highgate was the place for our Mum’s care needs going forward. Fourteen months forward and the one word that shouts out is exceptional. The extreme high levels of professionalism shown from management, nurses, care workers, kitchen, cleaning and house staff is incredible.

The rooms are spotless, the in-house food and drink variety and standard is exceptional. The facility is very safe, secure and well laid out with multiple modern decored rooms and visible ongoing maintenance programme, keeping them at a high standard.

In support of your loved one, this is the perfect place to put your heart and mind at rest. The dedication, teamwork, morale, kindness and caring shown by all will have an everlasting effect on myself.

This was the first time my Dad was in respite care so understandably anxious. But I really need not have worried as the care given to my Dad was excellent. The staff genuinely cared for him and all his needs were met 100%. There were planned activities during his stay which he thoroughly enjoyed, especially the tea dance. Rooms were clean and tidy and pretty basic but adequate for all his needs. Thank you all very much.

All staff are very friendly and very good at their jobs. They attend to my friend's every need.

My Mum was in Highgate for 5 months and was nursed and cared for in the highest quality possible. It is reassuring for our family to know when leaving her daily she is getting cared for so professionally.

Transition from one owner to another seems to be going smoothly and hopefully continues. Cleanliness is always first class in Highgate, ensuring a safe environment for all. Assorted range of activities always going on, residents always seem happy with appropriate music playing for them. Gardens and grounds well tended, enjoyable to walk round or sit in. Staff always pleasant and helpful, willing to assist. Approachable, hospitable and communicative.

The home always smells clean and fresh. Friendly, approachable staff. It is very pleasant to visit my friend at Highgate Care Home. My friend says the food is always lovely.

My husband is looked after well. The staff also communicate well with me. I am very happy with the care provided.

I also enjoy all my food.

I wouldn't be any happier in heaven than I am in Highgate and I've said that every day I've been in here.

I recently visited the home for respite care. I am pleased to say the staff at Highgate looked after my mother demonstrating fantastic care and compassion. I was overwhelmed by the care and support shown towards her. I plan to continue to use Highgate for any respite periods I may need. My mum loved Lucy the dog and joining in singing in the choir.

My mother suffers from dementia and has been a patient at Highgate Care Home for two and a half years now. I, along with the other members of my family, have been delighted with the level of care and attention she has received at Highgate Care Home.

There are a significant number of highly motivated and very caring staff at Highgate Care Home, from the Carers, the nursing staff to the management, kitchen and admin staff. In combination, they provide a very warm, welcoming and caring environment and they show great respect and affection for their patients in their day-to-day dealings with them. I have no hesitation in recommending Highgate to anyone looking for a secure and loving care home for their parents or relatives.

My wife moved into Highgate Care Home on 23/12/16. Since then, she has been well looked after. Nothing is too difficult for the excellent staff. The meals are first class, laundry service good and she is kept clean and tidy. Office staff are good and helpful. No complaints.

My father has limited mobility, a heart condition and Parkinsons. He moved to Highgate just before Christmas and has been a great move for him. Staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Nursing staff are timely with dad's medications and proactive in keeping me informed on how he is doing. The room was freshly painted just before dad arrived and is cleaned daily. Dad was able to take his favourite chair and we were able to have Sky TV installed for him with no problem. I have been delighted with how well everything is going and dad is happy - which is the most important thing.

Reviewed every three months, staff are very good at letting you know about medication change and level of communication my mum has. The staff are friendly and always helpful when you need any help or information.

Nice, kind place to be. Well looked after. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. It's home.
