Highgate Care Home, situated in the peaceful residential area of Uddington, supports older people to lead their best lives with personalised nursing and nursing dementia care.

Highgate recently underwent an extensive refurbishment programme which transformed communal areas including dining rooms, lounges/day rooms, reception area, bathrooms and corridors. Highgate has a host of places in which to relax, dine, exercise, socialise and be creative and the pretty landscaped sensory garden and patio is the perfect spot to spend time with friends and family.

From care assistants and nurses, to wellbeing coordinators and chefs, each and every member of the professional care team is there to assist you or your loved one in settling into the home. With a wealth of knowledge and experience in the care sector, the home manager leads the team to ensure residents are supported to lead their best lives at Highgate.

The catering team at Highgate understands the nutritional needs of older people and creates delicious meals to ensure a lovely dining experience for all residents and visitors. They offer a wide range of popular dining areas that provide a welcoming space to enjoy meals with fellow residents, or family and friends.

I want to say a big thank you to the team looking after my father-in-law. He is doing so well with all the good care he is getting. He is happy and looking very healthy. My dad has been a resident here since September 2020. I could not be happier with the level of care and attention he has been receiving from the staff here. My dad has a rare neurological disease, which has specific challenges that they have not experienced before, but they go out of their way to try
to learn more about the disease, so that they can help provide him with what he needs. I live in America, and emotionally it has been very difficult for me to be so far away, but whenever I call to check on him and see how he's doing, every staff member who picks up the phone knows my dad, and is able to provide me with details on his care and any incidents that I should be aware of. They are warm, kind, friendly and genuinely care about my dad's welfare. They are also happy to organise video calls (which is so important during Covid) and they assist with those, since my dad has a hard time hearing and communicating. I would absolutely recommend Highgate if you are looking for a care home.

This is a friendly, caring and well run care home. All the staff go the extra mile in supporting and caring for the residents and visitors.

My friend has been in Highgate for a couple of years and I had another friend previously in the home. It's a lovely place, very welcoming and the staff are so nice. It's very difficult not getting in to visit just now but the staff do their best. They have just had a 'pod' built for visits so hopefully
we can use that soon.

I think Highgate Care Home responded admirably to the Covid outbreak. Caring is a difficult job and this crisis has added so much stress for staff, however the staff are always cheerful, helpful and professional.

I've been a volunteer at Highgate Care Home since July 2020 working with the wellbeing coordinator providing activities and events with residents. While I've been volunteering here I've seen how much the staff care about the wellbeing of the residents and how they have gone above and beyond to make
sure the resident's environment has been safe and clean during this pandemic.

Mum came into the home during the lockdown so we have not been inside the home but we have been very happy with the level of care. Mum always looks fantastic. We have asked if possible to get some photos of mum sent to us as we would love to see her taking part in activities etc.

Highgate was our first choice of a resting place for dad after visiting a few mainly due to its facilities and cleanliness. Very soon it was clear we made the right choice and dad settled in really well and visits were so pleasant. There was always a warm welcome from not only the staff but the fellow
residents too.
The staff also go out of their way to help and support, they have also helped organise celebrating special personal occasions as well as keeping seasonal dates marked with full on decorating and events as well as on going planned daily activities, there always something different going on to suit as many residents as they can.

My mum has been a resident for almost three years, the care shown to her by all staff has been exemplary, they know my mum's needs, moods and can tell right away when she needs extra support.
I am contacted as soon as possible if she is poorly as I requested. Any issues I have had concerning her health
or care have been dealt with very quickly.

My gran has just moved here. The home is lovely, welcoming and the staff are incredibly caring. My young daughter was delighted to see the miniature ponies visiting and going up to see great gran in the lift. It is a pleasure to visit my gran at Highgate Care Home.

The establishment was fantastic for the love, care and support that Highgate offered to my uncle and his family. Many, many thanks to you all.

My friend has just moved into Highgate and has settled very quickly. This is a lovely home, I have seen a wide range of activities - Highland dancers, singers, therapets, outings etc. There is a lovely atmosphere in the home, everyone seems to care. The manager's door is always open too.

When we visited Mum at Christmas the staff really showed they care about how residents enjoyed Christmas. They also made sure we enjoyed our visit too. Highgate is a lovely care home. It is a home away from home for our Mum.
