Review of

Lauren Court Care Home

from Wendy H (Daughter of Resident) published on 31 March 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My father was admitted to Lauren Court for approx 6 weeks respite while my husband had major surgery.

My father's social worker had recommended the home as it was local to us but I wanted to ensure my father would be well looked after.

There was no issue with either popping down unannounced or

making a formal appointment. I was so impressed with Racheal, the manager, as she was so passionate about what she does and how she runs the home. I was shown around every aspect of the home and we discussed my father's needs. She was happy for me to bring my father in too, in order for him to be part of the decision making process.

Racheal was so welcoming and generous with her time and introduced my father to all the key people and also some of the residents. The whole Team go the extra mile and put the resident at the heart of everything they do. They are so friendly, helpful and caring. The chef even met with my father to discuss any requirements.

I had total peace of mind.

My social worker recommended Lauren Court for my respite of approx 6 weeks while my son-in-law had major surgery.

I was nervous about going in but after meeting Racheal the manager on a viewing, I was happy to move in. Racheal and her Team go out of their way to be friendly and inclusive and very

caring. I was treated like one of the family.

The chef met with me to check what I like and the food was nutritious and varied. The people who look after the laundry, cleaning, tea trolley, etc were all so helpful.

My room was always clean and warm and cosy and Racheal does her best to keep the rooms modern and comfortable on a budget. I was able to personalise the room with pictures, etc. I was invited to join in activities but in truth, as I have no dementia, it wasn't necessary.

Visiting is easy for relatives and friends and there are two very nice lounges.

I have no complaints and would recommend Lauren Court, I would be happy to go back should I need extra care in the future.

The most wholesome, caring, loving environment. Seeing my grandad in a home was such a hard transition, but Acorn Hollow haw shown this is the safest, friendliest place for a loved one to be. All the carers are so professional and create such amazing relationships and a friendship. Rachel and Fliss
are incredible assets and leaders. The staff are exceptional at their job, I know when I leave him, he's in a place he can happily call home.

Staff are so caring with residents, plus family and friends that go into the care home. The activities are amazing, helps to keep them active. Food is excellent and a very good choice. Staff keep you up to date on what's going on and ring you if anything happens and keep you updated. Couldn't ask for
any more from the staff.

The seniors + management at the home are very professional and approachable. They care, all the staff are very kind, smiley, and do everything they can to help my mum. Mum's been at Acorn Meadows for nearly 1 year now, and the high level of care has been maintained all year. The staff spend time to
get to know my mum. The home is well maintained and usually smells fresh and clean. I would highly recommend Acorn Meadows.

Primrose House Care Home

Mum had a fall which is to be expected with her current condition
I was contacted straight away by the staff as was the ambulance services, care for mum was spot on and the right decision made by the home
Mum was assessed at the hospital and allowed back to Primrose house 30 hours later
While her
time at the hospital was very traumatic for us both, Primrose house care and warmth for mum was second to non
She returned to an open door and a lovely night carer who helped her out of the car, the person in charge listened to my report back as the hospital had failed to do this and I was able to see her being settled back in before I left at midnight
The next day when we visited she became emotional, again the staff all stepped in with lovely words and care and some timely pain relief to help her to settle
I was so relieved to get her back home to primrose house and to see her enjoying the daily activities again
Thankyou all

Although my brother Robert was only in the home a few days, the staff were extremely caring and kind to him. As a visitor I was offered refreshment and food frequently. The room itself was warm, clean, roomy and calming. Overall an experience (when I get to that age) that I would be only too happy to
accept. Thank you to all the staff. What a great job you do.

I visited Mum today and as always she was relaxed, comfortable, clean and contented. The staff in Primrose House are always attentive and cheerful, nothing is too much trouble for them and they know my Mum so well despite her being mostly incommunicative these days. Compared to the previous home she
was at where she had a number of falls and was anxious and often angry with staff, today she had a smile for everyone and seems so happy at Primrose House. They really know how to help dementia patients and I am so happy with Mum's care at the home. Thank you everyone at Primrose House for your kindness, diligence and care x

My husband was at Primrose House for almost 2 years. The staff team are incredible in their unfailing kindness to and caring of the residents. The home is light and airy and I love that it's all on one level with access to lovely gardens and not stuck on the top floor as is the case for residents with
dementia in many homes. The sitting and dining rooms are spacious, airy and well decorated. Visitors are made to feel very welcome. I can't praise the staff highly enough for the care and compassion shown, not just to my husband but to the family also in what has been a difficult time . We were kept up to date with all aspects of my husband's care and as his illness progressed, the level of care he received was outstanding.

My parents moved into Elworth Grange on 6th October 2025. Since their arrival, I have been very happy and impressed with the level of care, professionalism and management support for the whole family. I have felt heard and listened to in the event of any difficulty in settling my parents in, and any
concerns has been addressed quickly, sensitively and appropriately. The care and activities are excellent. My mother has dementia, and I have noticed a significant improvement in her mind and cognition in the mere two months she has been a resident. Massive appreciation and congratulations. Elworth Grange.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother is a resident at Summerville Care Home in Grappenhall, Warrington. Last Saturday they had their annual Christmas fair and I felt I had to commend all the staff for an amazing celebration for the patients, relatives and the staff that were working or just calling in on their day off
The manager,
Sam Kelly, had everything under control along with Louise the activities co-ordinator and Ruth the administrator, a great cake maker incidentally. The atmosphere was phenomenal. There was a singer and he was great. The staff were dancing and having fun with the residents. It really was a very special day and to see my Mum smiling and enjoying herself was so special to me.
Thank you to all and everyone involved AND they raised over a thousand pound to go towards the residents comfort funds
Thank you again

I really can't speak highly enough about Daneside Mews. From day one my cousin age 93 was treated with great care and kindness. She soon mixed well and got to know the staff as they were all so pleased to help her and importantly knew just how she liked her weak drinks of tea. Unfortunately she was
in need of NHS care and on leaving hospital Daneside could no longer help her. But we were grateful to them all.

We approached Daneside Mews for emergency short-term respite care, for Mum, who is 89 with dementia. The senior team visited our home, assessed Mum and confirmed later that day a place was available. The whole team at Daneside made us feel welcome, were supportive, caring, professional and treated Mum
and us with great kindness. We feel Mum now has a home away from home for any future needs.

My husband was welcomed into the home and has settled in very well. He is safe and stress-free, being looked after by the staff who keep him clean and manage his health needs. He interacts with all the staff who are always friendly and helpful. Activities are arranged and he is encouraged to join in
with the other residents, which he is doing/ When taken out for trips by us, he is always happy to return to his 'safe place'. I am very happy with the treatment he has been given.
