Short-term respite stay satisfactory. The bulding is very old and the management and staff make the best of what they've got. The staff were very kind and compassionate.

Mum was a resident at Meadow Bank, in Sabrina House and previously Ribble House. Mum had a very happy 18 months at Meadow Bank before sadly passing away in December 2025. All staff worked miracles in supporting, encouraging and looking after Mum with exceptional care and affection. Mum enjoyed all the
various activities and always tried to keep her independence, even in care, and was encouraged to do so by all the staff. That meant a lot to Mum. Thank you to all at Meadow Bank for the superb care given to Mum in her final years and months, right up to the end. Meadow Bank is a fabulous, clean and safe care home, we found, complete with an amazing, extraordinary and exceptional team of experienced care professionals, who are kind, compassionate and very caring. In our opinion, Meadow Bank is one of the best, if not THE best care home in the North West, perhaps even the whole of the UK. Thank you to all at Meadow Bank for all the love, care and support that you gave Mum. You are the best.

My dear mum was cared for at Meadow Bank Ribble House in the last 8 weeks of her life after being discharged from hospital. She was cared for so very well and all the staff were courteous and kind to me and the family during a very stressful time. I can't thank them all enough and we will always remember

I can't thank all the staff enough for what they did for my mum, and the support there was for all the family. It just shows a little extra care goes a very long way. Thank you again.

My wife has been in Willow Community since December 2024. She settled really well. They have made her feel like one of the family. When I visit her every day they have made me more than welcome. I'm sure my wife feels like this is where she belongs. I would have no qualms in recommending Willow Community

I cannot thank all the staff at Dove Court Burnley Nightingale enough for the kindness, care and love they showed my mother. They helped her settle at Dove Court, her health and wellbeing improved. Everyone bent over backwards for her and also in the support for the family. The reception administration
staff were warm and welcoming, her room was lovely, the care staff delivered a high standard of care, the activities team, the maintenance team, the laundry staff, the catering staff were all there every day right to my mum passing away. Thank you.

This is my first experience of care at Meadow Bank. Very impressed with everything so far. I am fully involved with my husbands day to day care having looked after him at home on my own for some time. The staff are all aware of all my husbands needs they involve me and I feel we can work together, this

Mum moved into the willow unit in July and settled in in no time due to the amazing staff and activities coordinators who always have something up there sleeve .
Unfortunately mums health has deteriorated and has now been moved to another unit at Meadowbank..
I will never forget the whole team at
willow who have gone above and beyond over the last few weeks for all the care ,respect ,dignity for mum .
They have been like my extended family always there to support not just mum but myself...they are an absolute amazing team

Mum moved into Willow House at the end of September 2024. Since moving there she has been much happier and more relaxed than when she lived at home. Sometimes she is a little confused about where she is and thinks she's on holiday in The Lake District. I think this is a good illustration of how content
she is at Meadowbank. In her younger years she spent many happy holidays in the Lakes. When I visit she is always nicely dressed and her room is clean, as is the communal area. The staff are friendly, welcoming and engaged with the residents.

My husband + I really enjoyed the valentines afternoon tea + party.
Everyone was clapping, dancing + singing along with the singer, who was very good. We all enjoyed the lovely buffett tea and the room looked great, decorated in a valentines day theme.
Thank you to the organisers, it was a great afternoon.

My wife has been a resident on the Kingfisher unit since June 2024 and the change in her behaviour has been fantastic compared to when she first moved in.
All the staff are brilliant, compassionate, friendly and have the patience of saints. But talking about this month, I would just like to comment
on Valentine's day dinner. The tables were laid out. Great, the service and the food were excellent.
Congratulations to all the staff and chefs on a good day out.

What an amazing celebration for Valentine Day. The staff certainly pulled out all the stops to make it special for all the residents and their loved ones. It was first class - the decorations the buffet - the entertainment. I cannot find enough praise for everyone who made it possible and so enjoyable.

Mum is very happy in the home. The staff are kind and caring. The only problem she has is the food - mum is used to eating a varied diet and finds chips with everything unusual! We realise that its difficult to care for everyone but I do think the Dietician needs to review the food they are serving.
I believe the food is directed from Head Office. The only other problem is the heat, it seems odd having to open windows so that it cools the room down, perhaps lowering the heat by 1 or 2 degrees it would save you money as well.
Reply from Clare Sheehan, Careline Advisor at Dove Court Care HomeThank you for your review and kind words about our staff. We value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. Our menus are devised by HC-One nutritional experts to ensure they are varied; we would be happy to go through these with you. The people we care for choose daily what they want to eat, and chips are on offer as part of our alternative menu for those who do not want the two main choices on offer as well as sandwiches, salads, omelettes, baked potatoes and various pies. We apologise you feel the heating is too high; this is thermostatically controlled and depends on the ambient temperature of the home. Our maintenance team does regular checks on our heating and boiler, which are also serviced regularly by our contractors. We will request our maintenance team check the radiator in your mother's bedroom to ensure the valve is operating correctly.
