Having had the experience of a temporary residency of another local care home which gave me great concern for the welfare of my wife, I find that Meadowbank cannot be praised highly enough. All the staff are bright and cheerful and cannot be faulted in their care for the residents. My daughter and I visit daily and are always welcomed in a cheerful manner.

I would just like to say how well my mum is being cared for in Ribble House by each and every member of staff.
ALL the staff are extremely friendly at all times and have an unlimited amount of patience with my mum and all the residents.

I cant recommend Meadowbank highly enough

You are made to feel inclusive and comfortable by the caring staff straight away. The attention they get is second to none; they get to know the residents and treat them so well, adapting to their needs and personalities. The staff know when to call a doctor or medic and very quickly get a response. They keep the family informed of progress, or problems, and are professional and kind. No complaints at all. The food is excellent, especially the homemade cakes. Overall, it was the best place Frank could be.

My husband was cared for at Ribble House for only a short time. He was well looked after and treated with dignity. I cannot fault the nursing and social care provided. His last days were easier for him and the family by the staff.

Situated in a pleasant open setting. Accommodation is bright, airy, clean and comfortable. Very well maintained. Staff are attentive, go beyond caring, very friendly. Was always greeted with a smile. Made to feel most welcome. My 24/7 oxygen needs are well catered for. Food at a high standard with good choices, washed and dressed each morning. Shower and bath facilities available. Most enjoyable stay of 3 weeks. Very pleasant experience. Highly recommended.

My dad has been in Meadow Bank for approximately 3 years. He loved the staff and never complained about his care. He called his room his flat and was happy. He loved singing and talking to the staff. He also loved the Film Night on Wednesday. He felt very much at home.

Mum was a resident at Meadow Bank, in Sabrina House and previously Ribble House. Mum had a very happy 18 months at Meadow Bank before sadly passing away in December 2025. All staff worked miracles in supporting, encouraging and looking after Mum with exceptional care and affection. Mum enjoyed all the various activities and always tried to keep her independence, even in care, and was encouraged to do so by all the staff. That meant a lot to Mum. Thank you to all at Meadow Bank for the superb care given to Mum in her final years and months, right up to the end. Meadow Bank is a fabulous, clean and safe care home, we found, complete with an amazing, extraordinary and exceptional team of experienced care professionals, who are kind, compassionate and very caring. In our opinion, Meadow Bank is one of the best, if not THE best care home in the North West, perhaps even the whole of the UK. Thank you to all at Meadow Bank for all the love, care and support that you gave Mum. You are the best.

My dear mum was cared for at Meadow Bank Ribble House in the last 8 weeks of her life after being discharged from hospital. She was cared for so very well and all the staff were courteous and kind to me and the family during a very stressful time. I can't thank them all enough and we will always remember the kindness of the whole team.

My wife has been in Willow Community since December 2024. She settled really well. They have made her feel like one of the family. When I visit her every day they have made me more than welcome. I'm sure my wife feels like this is where she belongs. I would have no qualms in recommending Willow Community at Meadow Bank.

This is my first experience of care at Meadow Bank. Very impressed with everything so far. I am fully involved with my husbands day to day care having looked after him at home on my own for some time. The staff are all aware of all my husbands needs they involve me and I feel we can work together, this is a good feeling to have.

Mum moved into the willow unit in July and settled in in no time due to the amazing staff and activities coordinators who always have something up there sleeve .
Unfortunately mums health has deteriorated and has now been moved to another unit at Meadowbank..
I will never forget the whole team at willow who have gone above and beyond over the last few weeks for all the care ,respect ,dignity for mum .

They have been like my extended family always there to support not just mum but myself...they are an absolute amazing team

Mum moved into Willow House at the end of September 2024. Since moving there she has been much happier and more relaxed than when she lived at home. Sometimes she is a little confused about where she is and thinks she's on holiday in The Lake District. I think this is a good illustration of how content she is at Meadowbank. In her younger years she spent many happy holidays in the Lakes. When I visit she is always nicely dressed and her room is clean, as is the communal area. The staff are friendly, welcoming and engaged with the residents.

My husband + I really enjoyed the valentines afternoon tea + party.
Everyone was clapping, dancing + singing along with the singer, who was very good. We all enjoyed the lovely buffett tea and the room looked great, decorated in a valentines day theme.

Thank you to the organisers, it was a great afternoon.

What an amazing celebration for Valentine Day. The staff certainly pulled out all the stops to make it special for all the residents and their loved ones. It was first class - the decorations the buffet - the entertainment. I cannot find enough praise for everyone who made it possible and so enjoyable. Well done & thank you.

My mum has been a resident in Willow House at Meadowbank for about 18 months now and in that time she has been treated with the utmost respect and kindness. She settled in very quickly which I was concerned about as she was already settled in a lovely care home, but as her needs increased it was no longer the right place for her. The staff in Willow House were so welcoming and friendly so the transition was seamless. Mum has several health conditions and concerns but the staff are always very prompt in making sure she has her medication or if needed, has further medical attention. Willow House is a lovely homely place with fresh and modern decor. The rooms and communal areas are always tidy and clean. They have a full programme of activities and events and the atmosphere is always very positive and pleasant. The staff always look happy to be there and have a genuine rapport with the residents. Mum is very well cared for and I couldn't be happier that she is there.
