Good experience where my husband is well looked after by exceptionally supportive staff - always willing to listen to any concerns I may have. Very good cheerful atmosphere at all times.

Overall Experience

My husband has been a resident on Sabrina Unit at Meadow Bank since December 2015. He settled in quickly due to the care and attention given to him by the staff and nurses. He has now been a resident for 20 months and is still very settled. The staff really care about the residents and I continue to be impressed by their unfailing hard work to ensure their residents feel "at home". The unit and rooms are kept clean and tidy and the food is a very good standard. There is an entertainment coordinator on the unit and she tries very hard to do something for everyone. Nurses, carers, cleaners and entertainment staff run this challenging behaviour unit well. Any concerns are dealt with quickly and efficiently by the unit manager.

Overall Experience
Meadow Bank is an example to the rest - it must be in the top 10!!
All staff, I repeat, ALL staff display constant love and care for their residents.
Their pay is far too low for what they do - It is a total disgrace that money is thrown away on foreign aid - my tax and many others!!
Working in the main 12-hour shifts is only possible because they are truly dedicated - it's a vocation.

7 day laundry - excellent food - superb housekeeping. Small management unit - first class.

This is the second time we have used Meadow Bank for respite for my mum. It enables us to have holidays without any worries about her care.

The staff are kind, hardworking, professionals. They put the needs of the residents first and are tirelessly devoted to their work.

Overall Experience

My Mum was transferred to Meadow Bank from another local nursing home that was awful in every way possible and she was very worried about what would await her. I am very pleased to report that the home is fantastic. The rooms are clean, bright and very airy. The food is lovely and they are very accommodating to 'fussy' needs. The staff are wonderful and very upbeat and happy in all that they do and they really do keep the resident's spirits up. The activities are daily, are varied and seem to be enjoyed by all that participate and the resident cat is a lovely touch to keep that feeling of home. Out of my Mum's window and door, she can see ducks and ducklings waddling around and the setting is just lovely. My Mum is cared for, the staff have a keen interest in all the residents and the managers at Meadow Bank seem to run the place perfectly! Mum has settled extremely well and I can relax that she is now in the right place with wonderful care.

I am happy with my mother's care on the Ribb 6 Unit (nursing unit). Her care is not "fixed" on a plan but changes according to her needs and staff have initiative and drive to try new things.

Recently, although mostly cared for in her bed she has started having showers and baths, which she enjoys (although tiring!) She enjoys excellent meals and the nurses and carers are a credit to Bupa. Her views are sought from her or myself. Thank you.

Overall Experience

My mother was in respite care while we were away on holiday. Everything went smoothly thanks to the efficiency and help of the receptionist and the staff in general. My only quibble was that there appears to have been a mix up in the laundry system which was not even requested. Some items of underwear have gone missing and she came home with a skirt that was not hers (since returned).

Overall Experience

I have had 8 Christmases here visiting my dad. This year was exceptional, the staff were wonderful. It was such a happy day all round. Lots of people visited, everyone was dressed in Xmas jumpers and hats. The meal was excellent. One resident who's first Xmas it was, said it was 300% better than she expected. It couldn't have been any better on any level, it didn't feel like a nursing home. It just felt like a big party.

My wife has been in the home since 26th July 2016 and she has had an awful lot of clothes and articles go missing from her room. It costs me a lot of money to replace.
