Mum came to Meadow Bank 13 months ago. I cannot praise the staff enough for their care. They're on the ball with everything from meals and how much Mum eats, she loses weight they want to know why. Medication is given at the same time every day. Her room and clothes are always clean and tidy. I recommend Meadow Bank to all my friends.

I would like to say a massive thank you to Meadow Bank and especially the Activity Coordinator for giving Mum a wonderful birthday. She had a fabulous day and was treated like a Queen. Mum loves being at Meadow Bank, she feels safe and is well cared for.

Very impressed with the home, staff and facilities. The staff are exceptional, incredibly caring and take the time to get to know each resident. They made the process a lot easier than expected and have created a beautiful home.

Worst care home ever. My dad went into this care home because of his dementia and wasn't eating or drinking also falling at home. It started ok but on his first night there, he started shouting out (normal for people with dementia). They rang the following day saying they wanted my dad out and back home. He couldn't go back home because the home wasn't safe. The manager at the care home said he is quite capable of making his own decision but the dementia team and district nurses said he was not. There were team meetings for what is next for my dad, the dementia team spoke to the manager of the care home and they still said that he was quite capable of making his own decisions, also the manager said to us and the dementia team that my dad did not have dementia. He didn't get the proper care he needed. I think all they care about is the residents that could afford to stay there and not really bothered about the residents that social services paid for. He is out and in a better care home.

Staff superb, integrate well with residents. Overall, great outlook for residents that are living here. Personally, my mother always seems happy so as long as that's the outlook for her, life's perfect.

My stepmum is relatively new to Meadow Bank. Obviously, a move like this is upsetting to a family but the entire process has been a very friendly and wholeheartedly supported experience. A very comfortable environment and nothing is too much trouble for the care team. My stepmum has settled beautifully and feels more like part of the team than someone who stays there.

This review is for the Sabrina Unit at Meadowbank where my father was a resident until passing in November 2023. This is a great facility - new and homely and lovely light coming into the living room area, and has a separate cinema room. The staff have a karaoke machine that they use at intervals to engage the residents in singing and put their heart and soul into belting out tracks.
When my dad needed to attend my Mum's funeral and needed extra assistance, two staff members needed to be with him - and they went the extra mile, coming in on a scheduled day off, which was much appreciated on a stressful day for the family. The home manager was very supportive and kind in this time period too, as was the senior who helped out.

All of the staff seem genuinely interested in talking and engaging with the residents at what's a difficult time for families.

Meadow Bank is a welcoming place. Staff seem understanding and kind to all residents in Beech House where my husband is situated. His room was thoroughly considered. It is wonderful that my husband can go outside into the garden when he wishes.

The staff review is spoiled by one member of staff using pregnancy to do as little as possible. The other two pregnant ladies did as much as was sensible.

Meadow Bank has a lovely homely feel and the staff are very friendly and easing. I felt at home right from the first day and still do. I am waiting for a knee operation and will be able to go home afterwards, but if I had to stay permanently I certainly would. Thank you everyone.

After twenty months of frustration and repeated safeguarding issues relating to my husband’s care in a number of care homes, I was despairing of him ever receiving the care he needs and deserves. He was then accepted at Sabrina House.
I have since been astounded at the caring attitude of the staff and the willingness to improve the quality of life of the people in their care.
My husband’s well-being is a priority in this person-centred environment. Relatives are consulted and their views considered. I have the greatest respect for all the staff at Meadow Bank Care Home and thank them for their dedication which has improved the quality of life of my husband as well as lifting a considerable weight from the shoulders of myself and my family.

The managers should be proud of the service which is evolving as a result of their dedication to the needs of their vulnerable residents.
