My mother is being cared for very well with much love and humour. As her needs have increased, so has the level of support. There is a good team who support Mum as well as me.

Absolutely first class service from start to finish. All the staff were friendly and the residents seemed very happy. Nothing was too much trouble.
I felt like mum was really important and genuinely cared about. The place was clean and bright with a really good atmosphere.
I can't speak highly enough
of the whole set up. Everyone knew who you were and who you were visiting. I was so pleased we chose Ebor court for our mum, we had had it recommended to us by several people, no one had a bad word to say .
Reply from Julie Caygill, Hospital Liaison Team Administrator at Ebor CourtWed like to take a moment to thank you for leaving such a wonderful review of our home. It means so much to our colleagues when they receive this level of praise; they work tirelessly throughout the year to deliver the kindest possible care to residents and hearing such fantastic feedback is really the icing on the cake to them! Thank you, once again, for your kind words.

The family arranged a small gathering to celebrate my Aunt's 90th Birthday. I would personally like to thank the staff for all their help on the day. They, provided the table and chairs (6 place settings) set the table complete with table cloth and provided tea, coffee and a jug of water. This certainly
provided a lovely environment to celebrate a milestone birthday. Lunch consisted of fish and chips from the local chippie with birthday cake in the afternoon. Our Aunt really enjoyed it and was smiling all day, we created some lovely memories. Thank you.
Reply from Julie Caygill, Hospital Liaison Team Administrator at Handley HouseDear David, Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. Were really glad the gathering for your aunts 90th birthday went smoothly and that the day felt special for her and the family. It was our pleasure to help set things up, and its wonderful to hear she spent the day smiling and creating happy memories. Thank you again for taking the time to share this.

This is my first visit, so my view will not be comprehensive. The place is warm with friendly, helpful staff, and there's plenty happening to occupy residents. It's also very well maintained.

Mum moved into Ebor Court following the traumatic loss of her husband. She was low and withdrawn; her motivation and mobility were particularly affected. Since arriving, she has improved no end, being more positive and willing to participate in activities and exploring new areas of interest. Her mobility
has improved too, and this has meant greater independence to her. This is down to the quality of staff, who have taken the time to listen, to get to know mum and understand what would help her lead a more fulfilled life. They are proactive in doing this, and their approachable, sincere, professional and genuinely caring attitude is a credit to the caring profession. My perception of care homes has been transformed as much as my mum's life in Ebor Court. The organisation, facilities and most importantly, staff are all working to a high standard to achieve this.

On arrival at Mossdale care home they entry was secure entrance was immediate. The reception is always spotlessly clean, smiling staff greet you in a warm area. Visiting my mother-in-law in her spacious room is like walking into her old house with everything she requires. The meals are plentiful, helpful
staff are available, plenty of activities and an overall feeling of warmth, security and patient care.
We could of not found a better home for her.

I have visited people in a good many care homes but think Hambleton Grange is one where I would be happy to live myself. Though it must be hard to lose one's independence, it still seems possible to lead a full life here. Hambleton Grange offers a wide range of activities and events including some that
friends and relatives can also take part in. There are talks, films, craft sessions and entertainments. Although there is a television, it isn't obtrusive, as in some times where the residents get very little choice of viewing.
The person who has power of attorney for our friend has a long way to travel, but the staff keep in touch by phone and always remember who she is. In spite of having restricted mobility, our friend is able to go out in the new minibus and enjoys these excursions.
Everyone seems to get a special cake on their birthday and the one we shared was delicious.
Inevitably, there must be daily routines which the public don't always see, but my impression is that the residents are treated as individuals and with kindness and respect.
I haven't ticked some categories, because I simply don't know enough about them.

A good "Half-Way House" for dad after 2 visits to hospital took care of his care needs, and helped build his confidence during the respite care. Good all round staff and nice community feel. Good range of activities for residents.

What a wonderful place. All the staff are exceptional - caring, kind, patient and good humoured. The food is delicious with lots of variety, and there is a busy, wide-ranging programme of activities. The building is maintained to a high standard, and there is good communication with residents, relatives
and, where appropriate, the GP. I have no hesitation in recommending Hambleton Grange to anyone, for themselves or a relative.

Mum moved into Ebor court after 3 years in another care home which I was dissatisfied with. I have been delighted with the care & support mum has received since her move & am delighted with her overall care. It saddens me to say that members of staff staff are leaving for better pay options at other
care homes. The staff & management at Ebor Court are outstanding & should be cherished.

Lovely friendly reception from staff on arrival. Clean, bright, fresh smelling. Lots of activities on display. Can tell staff are happy and residents are well cared for. Love areas for eating, hairdresser and record player. Would love a place near me for parents if needed.

The staff at Hambleton Grange showed my mother kindness and loving care throughout her journey with Alzheimer's. They did the same for all her family, and we will always be forever grateful to them all. It has been such a difficult time, but from Sandra (the manager), Lindsey on reception and all the
caring team, my mother could not have been better looked after. Thank you all.

First day I arrived was so strange, but soon I met the other clients and it changed. Soon we were playing simple games of cards, dominoes, etc, and from then on it was very sociable. The quizzes were great, and the craft sessions, and I soon settled in and met loads of the residents, which was wonderful.
The staff were very heloful and didn't take over what we were doing. I settled very well after that.

Our mum was in another home previously to this. Hambleton Grange is hands down, head and shoulders, 100% better than any other home we looked at. Staff know all of the residents. Their genuine kindness and care is humbling to see. Sandra is amazing, kind, caring, approachable, practical and a sincerely
nice person. She leads by example. HG is a shining example to other homes. Only 1 regret - We didn't find HG 18 months ago. Heartfelt thanks to you all.
