I owe a great deal to the staff for their caring + help in my rehabilitation. Overall a positive experience, but sometimes there are less staff around. Bank staff who do not know residents and less careful about cleanliness + resident needs.

Harley Grange Care Home

The overall rating from myself would be very good, However i don't feel that by having two staff at nights is simply enough to cater for the amount of residents there, Whether this due to a cost cutting measure iv'e no idea ?? This needs to be resolved and it's my belief there should be at least four.
The care in the day appeared to be very good but i'm giving care/Support a 3 as again i wasn't happy of the minimal staff on the night shift.
Reply from Julie Caygill, Hospital Liaison Team Administrator at Harley Grange Care Home

Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to make improvements where required. We appreciate your kind words surrounding the support and care provided at Harley Grange and we will share your feedback with the team. We are sorry to hear of your concerns regarding the night staffing levels. Please be assured we currently have three members of staff on shift, and we regularly review staffing in line with the needs and dependency levels of our residents to ensure their safety, and wellbeing. However, if you would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to contact the home direct.

Communication could be improved.
A new resident meeting with family to explain home routines etc would be very useful.
When requests are made for the family resident such as seeing a doctor it would be good if there was feedback on the outcome without having to ask.
However I have found all other
aspects of the home excellent, and thanks for looking after my mum so well.

Mountview Care home has a lovely feel to it and the staff are friendly and approachable.
The staff are always on hand to make my mother's stay at the home as comfortable as possible.
Lovely layout for a care home, but I've noticed what lets it down is the TV/Lounge which looks very dated and needs
some work doing as most of the residents seem to sit in there a lot including my mother. Also there seems a lot of light bulbs are not working walking to my mothers room making areas dark for my mother to safely walk to her room. Also quite a few furniture and fittings need attention. But overall apart from a few basic maintenance issues the home is lovely.
Reply from Julie Caygill, Hospital Liaison Team Administrator at Mountview Care Home

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review of our home, Mountview. We are pleased to hear you are happy with the care your mother receives. We value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. The corridors are lightly coloured, and the lights are automatic as they are on sensors. The lounge areas are the same on all floors, just different colours. Depending on which floor is being mentioned, certain areas are being refurbished now. Please pop in on your next visit to discuss any concerns you may have.
