You walk into this place and you get blown away with what you are told it has to offer . Lovely garden and great Activities , Good food, nice Big room. I was so excited for my dad to move in Here but Unfortunately It didn't last long as-the company was brought out by a new company and the manager
of the Care Home was replaced. It all went downhill from here. The new manager is unapproachable and Argumentative You should be able to approach the care home manager with any problems and be met with an understanding ear and Attitude of how can we move forward.
Reply from ramla abdullahi, Area Director at Mountview Care HomeThank you for your review. At Mountview Care Home, we take all concerns raised very seriously. Unfortunately, Mountview Care Home is registered as a residential care facility, and we are therefore unable to accommodate residents who require nursing level care. If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact us directly.

My mother has been a permanent resident at Mountview, Rothley for just over nine months now and I could not be happier with the wonderful care and attention which she has received since her admission. It is always a pleasure for me to visit my mum in Mountview as the warmth and cheerful friendliness
of every member of staff is really quite exceptional - from Front-of-House Laura and the Management Team through to all the Carers and the Cleaning/Maintenance and Kitchen staff, I can honestly say that every single person goes the extra mile. All my mother's needs are catered to with compassion and thoughtfulness, and I particularly appreciate all the good humour and smiling faces.
I could not imagine my mother being settled anywhere better!

It was very difficult for us to have send our dad into a care home but the staff here at Mountview have been incredibly supportive of both our father and ourselves, especially as we all live overseas. Its good for us to know he is safe and well cared for. He says himself (despite his poor cognition)
that he is very happy here and how wonderful all the staff are - so thank you everyone.

Mount View came highly recommended, including a super referral from an ex-employee who we know. My dad had been struggling in his own house for some time and when we enquired, the Mount View management team made every effort to accommodate him at short notice.
Mount View has been superb for my dad.
His health and well-being has improved significantly. The home is clean, well resourced and the team genuinely care about the residents 10/10.

Bradley Hall

from Maud B (Friend of Resident) published on 1 May 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
In April 2025 my elderly friend had a fall at his home and was admitted to hospital, then after about 10 days he was transferred to a community hospital. While he was in the community hsp we discussed him going into residential accommodation, at first he was unsure but he eventually realised that
he was no longer capable of living on his own . Bradley Hall was the first and the only home I visited, I was extremely impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the very comfortable surroundings. He has been a resident since last June and has settled in really well. Everything about the home is first class especially the lovely meals freshly prepared and cooked on the premises. If I ever need looking after I would love to move into Bradley Hall, beautiful surroundings, marvellous staff and delicious food a perfect home from home. Another plus is I can take my little dog with me when I visit , she loves all the fuss she gets from the residents I would give 10 stars if I could.

My Father moved to Mountview from a care home in County Durham. Firstly the support I personally received from staff at Mountview through a very trying time with mum passing and wanting to move Dad closer to the family was very much appreciated. Dad has now been at Mountview for 4 weeks and he really
is so much happier and brighter. Every single member of staff including the non care staff have been fantastic with both Dad and our whole family. The cleanliness is outstanding, the homely feel of the home is safe and inviting, the activities are varied and uplifting, the attention to little details to make Dad feel happy, comfortable and cared for, are really second to none. We chose this home as we had visited with toddler groups and were impressed, it has been the best decision, I can not thank each and every one enough.

My Father was introduced to this facility my myself and my brother, it was daunting for him at first having lived a married life then by himself for 10 years.
The home made him very welcome from day one. As his illnesses worsened they were very good at keeping in touch and only bothering us if they
thought we needed to know.
They dealt with everything if they didn't they could offer a paid service such as hair care.
Then, on the day he died they contacted us, rang for the doctor and contacted the undertakes after we had made the necessary calls to initiate the service.
They even walked out with dad's body along with the undertakers, a lovely touch.

Staff changes a bit unsettling, have felt that both mum and I have not always been supported by the new staff. Room always clean and welcoming. Mum does not join in activities unless persuaded. Staff that know mum always kind and patient have listened to my concerns and action has been taken regarding
her mental health. Mum content with things a.t.m.

My brother and I have cared for our father for almost 12 years. In March 2025 because of his dementia and recent missing episodes he was too vulnerable to live independently. Neither my brother nor I could accommodate him so we placed him into residential care at The Rowans. This has taken a great amount
of anxiety and stress from us. He has never complained to us about his care here and this is a great relief. We know he has been well cared for and treated with dignity. For this he and us thank all the staff.
