Mum spent just over 3 years at The Willows, which she very much considered her home. All of the support team (from the laundry and cleaning team, chefs and the carers) are excellent and treated mum with care, kindness and dignity from day one of her stay until the day she passed away - many of them I will keep in touch with.
Mum 's room and en-suite were always clean and well maintained and every effort was made to make her comfortable.

I can confidently say that I have no regrets at all in moving mum into The Willows - it was the right choice.

My mum is so happy at The Willows and us as a family have found everyone there to be absolutely wonderful. The care she receives goes above and beyond. She retains her dignity and the staff treat her in a compassionate and respectful way, ensuring she has everything she needs. She loves to see the hairdresser and if for any reason she doesn't attend the carers have done her hair for her when she is showered. There are a range of activities at the home and I am trying alongside the carers to convince her to participate, and she is going to try. This is very special place and all who work there do an amazing job.

My dear friend has been staying at The Willows for around 18 months and is very happy to be there. The staff are so warm and caring, nothing is too much trouble. The care home is very clean and well managed. The staff and the Manager are happy to listen to and address any concerns that I have. Thank you to all the staff who do an amazing job.

My Cousin was resident at the Willows from July 2024 until her death on 16.11.25. Throughout this time the care she received was exceptional. The home is extremely well run and provided first class personal and medical care. My cousin was able to have regular hair care , manicure and chiropodist. The Chef is very imaginative and provides wholesome and interesting menus including homebaked cakes. For me the best thing was the excellent communication between the home and I.

Many thanks to all, especially Princess for making my Cousin's end peaceful and comfortable.

We'd like to take a moment to thank you for leaving such a lovely review of our home. It means so much to our colleagues when they receive this level of praise; they work tirelessly throughout the year to deliver the kindest possible care to our residents. It was a pleasure and an honour to care...

The staff and management went the 'extra mile' to ensure our Aunty had pain medicine on time. She was in a lot of pain and they monitored her well. The home was very clean. All staff were friendly and my Aunt never wants to leave!! We were very impressed with the flexible routines (Aunt wanted to eat in her room, as she was ill). A very homely environment where you could relax and be happy to visit, and you could visit very flexibility.

My mother-in-law passed away recently after a very happy and comfortable eight month stay at The Willows. From our initial visits, to moving her in and right until her last days there, she was looked after with care, love and respect.

We cannot thank each and every member of staff enough - from the nurses, carers, cleaners, cooks and office staff - they all exceeded expectations. This is a relatively small care home where every resident is made to feel safe and cared for, calm and an individual. Very much appreciated.

Each time I visited the home there always seemed to be something going on and the staff were very welcoming. My mum loved singing along to the music they put on and the Bingo was interesting. 'Zumba' we all got involved with and when visiting downtown the more hands meant more residents could get out. The staff were brilliant right up to the end of Mum's life. They gave us the message that she had passed away and we said we were on our way. When we arrived Mum was peacefully lying there and she was beautifully presented, I will never forget that. Mum was really happy at the home. Well done 'The Willows'.

Review from G A (Partner of Resident) published on 5 April 2024 Submitted via Postal Card

In general, I have found the care for my partner has been excellent. However, I have a major concern for my partner who has had numerous falls out of bed. These have resulted in massive lumps and bruises and visits from paramedics and doctors. I can't believe you can't use a bed rail under the mattress as we used to do at home. I am sure if it's not started she will have a more serious injury like a broken hip!

Mum was cared for very well, the staff that I met were very good and gentle and kind to her whilst in The Willows Care Home.
Her stay was short unfortunately.

The staff contacted the necessary people for her care quite promptly, so she was made comfortable, which helped all her family visitors etc. Would like to thank all staff for making us very welcome as we sat with Mum/Nan a lot of days and nights, nothing was too much trouble! Very supportive! Thanks again!

Couldn't ask for more for my grandma, everyone has been absolutely fantastic in caring for her and her needs. Most importantly, she feels safe here. There is no doubt in my mind she is in the best possible place and the whole family will say the same thing. Great work all of you.

You try to keep her happy and motivated and do a great job in doing so. There is a certain person in here working all hours, who I think is an amazing person, inside and out.

The Willows is a 'home from home' experience, warm, but it's the care staff, laundry and cleaning staff that make the place 'homely'. The catering is good, they do well with the budget allowed them! Activities are appropriate and available should residents wish to participate and are capable of doing so.

The Willows is excellent. It is a smaller care home which gives a peaceful atmosphere, the staff are well established so are familiar faces to Mum which is important to us. The staff are always positive and happy and work hard, the whole team from the carers, laundry, cleaning team and cooks, everyone pulls together showing kindness and compassion. There is an activities coordinator who keeps everyone’s spirits up with events and music etc. The home is always spotlessly clean and fresh.

I live quite a distance away so I am unable to visit every week, I feel the staff are like an extended family to Mum, she is very happy there.
