Thank you for taking the time to complete this review- it really means the world to us that we know we are doing a good job and that this is acknowledged by people who spend a lot of time in the home. We miss Mum everyday and she is still spoken about with great fondness, thank you for our flowers and lovely card but most of all thank you for allowing us to love and care for such a special lady.

My Mum has been a resident of The Rowans Care home for 6 weeks now, and the difference it has made to her well being in such a short period of time has been remarkable. Families are all made very welcome when they visit, and can attend at anytime, this makes it so much easier for us all to see her. She is especially happy with her hair being done when the hairdresser visits weekly, and she enjoys meal times with the extensive variety of food offered each day. Her confidence is growing all the time and it's a Joy to see. Every day seems to be a happy day at The Rowans, with activities, music and lots of friendly faces. So far the difference I have seen in 6 weeks confirms that the right decision was made for my Mum .

There is only 1 small criticism with the home and that is the entry system is outdated and we often had to wait to be let in or out.

I am so pleased we chose The Rowans as the place Mum could try to fight dementia - aided by the care and expertise of The Rowans 'family' around her. The family was always made to feel welcome at the home and an integral part of the team around my mum. Although Mum inevitably lost her fight, her final days were full of dignity and love. A massive THANK YOU to all of the fantastic staff - I will never forget what you did for us all.

My brother and I have cared for our father for almost 12 years. In March 2025 because of his dementia and recent missing episodes he was too vulnerable to live independently. Neither my brother nor I could accommodate him so we placed him into residential care at The Rowans. This has taken a great amount of anxiety and stress from us. He has never complained to us about his care here and this is a great relief. We know he has been well cared for and treated with dignity. For this he and us thank all the staff.

The staff at Rowans are not only professional but also incredibly warm and friendly. They created a nurturing environment that made a significant difference in Dad's well-being. It was heart-warming to witness the genuine affection and attention he received from everyone there.
While the only reason for moving Dad was the distance from our family, the farewell he received was nothing short of amazing. It was an emotional send-off that brought tears to my eyes, clearly reflecting the strong bonds he had built with the staff.
