Lydgate Lodge

Mum initially went to Lydgate for 2 weeks respite in June. Due to her ongoing safety needs we decided to make her stay permanent. This was a very emotional decision for me to make, but the managers and staff supported me enormously through the process. They are always warm, friendly and genuinely care
for residents and their families. I really appreciate their open door policy and always feel welcomed by all staff members whatever their role. They are quick to respond to any questions/queries and keep me informed regarding all aspects of mums needs.
Mum has settled so well and is much calmer, less lonely, at ease, happier and above all, safe in their care.
I am absolutely sure that I made the right decision for mum, and me. I feel confident she is in safe hands and trust Lydgate 100% with my dear, precious mum. Thank you to you all from the bottom of my heart. You've allowed me to be a daughter again instead of her carer. X

Third week of respite - the staff are marvelous always cheerful the room is kept clean and tidy all times. Towels changed regularly - I would say it has been an experience and one I was not looking forward to. However after my operation I had no alternative. It has pleasantly surprised, staff great,
management. No complaints what so ever.
The food is good home cooking and a nice variety over the weeks.

The team at Greenacres do a wonderful job in caring for, being a friend to and looking after Mum, enabling her to live with her dementia and for myself and my family to have much better quality time with her.
From top to bottom, the team are so welcoming, so friendly, so kind, the food so good and
the entertainment never ending that Mum is able to live a much better quality of life.
Having lived in Meltham for over sixty years, it's also important for Mum to maintain the links into the local community and the team at Greenacres do just that, which I know is appreciated by Mum, as well as by our family.

The most important thing for me about a home is that my mother is happy and well cared for and at Greenacres she is. The staff are always friendly and treat my mother with both respect and kindness which has made her feel she belongs there. The food is always good, they have a choice at all meals and
most importantly for mum a home made cake or pudding. All in all I have only good things to say about our experience and want to thank all the staff involved.

Mum is happy here and all the staff are lovely, approachable and most of all caring.

Mum is happy with her room and most of all the care they

My mum has had a two month respite period here and from the outset the support and care has been excellent. The regional admission manager came to assess my mum within hours of our request and the day after Mum was able to move in. The management and staff have been very caring and supportive, the
room was nice and clean and the food and drink provided was of a high quality. The home manager is very friendly and approachable and the whole front of house team are just lovely. The activities lady is very enthusiastic and keen for the residents to join in . Overall we have been very impressed by the kindness, care and support my mum has received here.

I have experience with Rievaulx House since 2021. In the first instance my Uncle with living there. I had had to move him from another care home so when he arrived due to his dementia he was unsettled and agitated. The staff were amazing, they cared for him, settled him down and in no time at all had
him settled and laughing again. His health as well as his mental ability improved and he was so happy. Sadly he passed in February of this year. There was no hesitation when l asked if he could return from hospital to pass in his own environment and once again the staff were amazing, The love and the care they showed him was above and beyond and the love and support given to me was so appreciated at such a difficult time. At the same time as this was going on, my Auntie was having a number of falls so l asked if she could go in the first instance for respite. She loves it. She settled within day, has a lovely room loves her meals (she is now eating and putting on weight) and now staying.
